I'll be doing smaller pours. I have a lot of old small boards ripped from HDDs, small low end GPU's pulled from OEM parts computers and the like. I figured dotting the table with them to keep each epoxy section small would make it much easier to do.
I may actually do this on a table I have in the shed. Though I'll probably do smaller sections. I still have tons of old dead hardware from the early/mid 2000's sitting in computers I use for spares. Could be a nice way to de-clutter and pretty/nerd up the house.
I'm really sorry that I keep forgetting to check this thread. With the recent... changes, I've not been on TR much. In regards to chargers, Nitecore, XTAR, and EFest are brands that have been well tested and are popular enough to find good reliability data/opinions on. I personally only use Nitecore...
Wow, Sorry I missed this thread. There are generally only 3 places you want to buy your cells from. https://www.illumn.com/ https://www.imrbatteries.com/ https://liionwholesale.com/ I listed those in my preferred order. Stick to Sony, LG, Panasonic/Sanyo, and Samsung. For a flashlight I'd go with LG...
I know that Renee was shocked and hurt by the reaction she received here. To be fair, the shock and hurt were reciprocal. It's like showing up to your job you've had for years and you have a new office, new floor, new duties, they gave you a 10 year old laptop and told you to get on with it, with n...
I bought 2 CM 550w PSU's back in 2009 for 2 AMD builds. Both work to this day, but one had to have it's fan replaced a few months back. I've been surprised by how well they've worked over the years. Personally I'm not touching anything that lacks a seasonic badge. I've went though 4 Corsair HX850's ...
The few programs I use that have support for such things... thankfully allows the user to disable showing them completely. I can understand a smiley here and there, but what I've seen on some platforms is just an idiotic over use of "emojis" to make up for a persons lack of literacy.
After 18 years on TR, you'd think I would be able to make it to a TR BBQ but the long drive is just too much for a weekend only thing for me. Thankfully, next year I should be living in Canada just a short 2 hour drive from the BBQ location so I should be able to come out to the next BBQ. I might e...

Ludis video content was really nice. Loved the bigclive feel of the table view portions. I'd really love to see more of that, of course staying as a long-form style video. I've withheld my opinion of recent events, and I have to say I really had my doubt about TRs new benefactors, but some of the co...
The person who requested deletion of the wiki page has changed his vote thanks to sources users (auxy) provided that showed links from major tech news site to TRs own findings on events related to Inside the Second, AMD's Phenom TLB issue, and other significant events from recent tech history. Keep:...
I've been doing this since 2012. Stick with LG. Even their cheap-o 4k HDR TV's can push 4k 60hz or 1080p 120hz both on RGB Full modes. My current model will even do 10-bit at 1080p. The Frame interpolation that they do can be turned off easily as well. The more expensive models come factory calibrat...
My current PC is: i7-2600K, Asus P8P67, 32GB RAM, a Crucial MX500 512GB SSD, a SanDisk 480GB SSD and an XFX R9 200 Series If you're feeling the upgrade itch right now , you could upgrade your GPU and gaming monitor today and still get good enough performance with the rest of that kit for the next s...
I still havea copy of the freely released MekTek Mechwarrior 4:Mercs with all of the MekTek expansions up to 3.1b if you are interested in the DL link.
I have an old PATA 4GB Maxtor drive in a retro gaming rig that came in a computer I bought way back in 1999 with 80k hours on it. All of the other hard drives I own are pretty new aside from one of those 1.5TB Seagate drives that just die. It still worked when I replaced it and frankly I'm afraid to...
I've not bought a gaming laptop since 2012, and I bought an Asus G75, the battery life is trash, but I didn't buy it to play games on battery. I bought it because it was easy to fold up, toss in a bag, and take it with me. I never had issues with it overheating, nor have the hinges failed in any man...
...no mention of Gerbils? And you people call yourself ... whatever the people of TR call themselfs... We call ourselves gerbils. I'm super disappointed in this thread. The last part was a dig at people not mentioning Gerbils. I've been around long enough to know of the Anonymous Gerbils that...
This is going to sound odd but... are you by any chance running Corsair link or the ASUS AI Suit? I've had both create microstutter in a number of games. It's so bad and so common that I've refused to run either program on my systems for some time now.
I admit I've not read the whole thread, but did you check the injectors? This new (and frankly terrible) Ethanol fuel likes to gum up things. This guy here runs through a nice diagnostic of a similar issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdG0MaKc36M
