Re: Creative uses for a dead motherboard

I'll be doing smaller pours. I have a lot of old small boards ripped from HDDs, small low end GPU's pulled from OEM parts computers and the like. I figured dotting the table with them to keep each epoxy section small would make it much easier to do.

Re: Creative uses for a dead motherboard

I may actually do this on a table I have in the shed. Though I'll probably do smaller sections. I still have tons of old dead hardware from the early/mid 2000's sitting in computers I use for spares. Could be a nice way to de-clutter and pretty/nerd up the house.

Re: Reputable vendors of lithium batteries (14500, 18650, etc.)?

I'm really sorry that I keep forgetting to check this thread. With the recent... changes, I've not been on TR much. In regards to chargers, Nitecore, XTAR, and EFest are brands that have been well tested and are popular enough to find good reliability data/opinions on. I personally only use Nitecore...

Wow, Sorry I missed this thread. There are generally only 3 places you want to buy your cells from. https://www.illumn.com/ https://www.imrbatteries.com/ https://liionwholesale.com/ I listed those in my preferred order. Stick to Sony, LG, Panasonic/Sanyo, and Samsung. For a flashlight I'd go with LG...

I know that Renee was shocked and hurt by the reaction she received here. To be fair, the shock and hurt were reciprocal. It's like showing up to your job you've had for years and you have a new office, new floor, new duties, they gave you a 10 year old laptop and told you to get on with it, with n...

I bought 2 CM 550w PSU's back in 2009 for 2 AMD builds. Both work to this day, but one had to have it's fan replaced a few months back. I've been surprised by how well they've worked over the years. Personally I'm not touching anything that lacks a seasonic badge. I've went though 4 Corsair HX850's ...

The few programs I use that have support for such things... thankfully allows the user to disable showing them completely. I can understand a smiley here and there, but what I've seen on some platforms is just an idiotic over use of "emojis" to make up for a persons lack of literacy.

After 18 years on TR, you'd think I would be able to make it to a TR BBQ but the long drive is just too much for a weekend only thing for me. Thankfully, next year I should be living in Canada just a short 2 hour drive from the BBQ location so I should be able to come out to the next BBQ. I might e...

Ludis video content was really nice. Loved the bigclive feel of the table view portions. I'd really love to see more of that, of course staying as a long-form style video. I've been doing this since 2012. Stick with LG. Even their cheap-o 4k HDR TV's can push 4k 60hz or 1080p 120hz both on RGB Full modes. My current model will even do 10-bit at 1080p. The Frame interpolation that they do can be turned off easily as well. The more expensive models come factory calibrat...

I've not bought a gaming laptop since 2012, and I bought an Asus G75, the battery life is trash, but I didn't buy it to play games on battery. This is going to sound odd but... are you by any chance running Corsair link or the ASUS AI Suit? I've had both create microstutter in a number of games. It's so bad and so common that I've refused to run either program on my systems for some time now.
