Self-proclaimed Excel and CSV reformatting expert here. I understand you're hindered by the export's formatting in some way, but it's not clear exactly *what* the existing formatting is preventing you from doing. That info is key to an elegant solution. As an interesting side-note, the existing form...

Re: Why No longer pirate, from an ex-pirate.

OK, agree on all the above stated points. But "archival" has a strong overlap with what is technically piracy. For example, trying to watch an episode of a low to mid-popularity TV episode that aired years ago and never saw a DVD release, and the TV network's not responding to requests for...

Re: Why 'Ryzen'

If you don't focus too much on how it sounds out loud (slightly lame), Ryzen is a really strong visual brand. The word RYZEN just looks awesome in marketing materials, more so than Zen. They got it right when they said they imagined it printed on the side of a spaceship to Mars. The only letters vis...

Re: Cutting my soda habit in half.

Great work! I have been there. One thing that helped me eventually (over a few years) stop craving soda was to intentionally develop a taste for very highly carbonated mineral water. (Topo Chico is good for this, its carbonation level is off the charts.) A couple years down the road, now I drink a l...

At some point, I'd like to see a comprehensive report on which entities PAY to run those ads in the first place and WHY. Is it some kind of "idiot filter," to recruit botnet machines? Or is there actual commerce occurring? I honestly want to know the scoop. Serious money is being sunk into...

Re: How is "Kaby" pronounced?

Since Kaby Lake is a proper noun, one can infer that it rhymes with Swaby (located in Lincolnshire, England) which as glossed in the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary (http://www.speech.cs.cmu.edu/cgi-bin/cmudict?in=swaby) rhymes with "cabbie".

it's a step function. A very few Hipsters get to build/define the next step. Technicians/mathematicians bring everyone else up to that step. I love the analogy to a step function, I am reminded of Kuhnian "normal science" vs. scientific revolution. That's why I'm not surprised about Polar...

Retailers have no reason to not make extra money if the demand is greater than the supply. Especially with how crazy the difference is between the supply and demand. True. Imagine you saw a brand-new, in stock 1070 for $199. Would you buy one? Or maybe even two, just because? That's exactly how ret...

If you have noisy neighbors, try combining active noise canceling headphones with a loud bassy brown noise played over speakers + subwoofer. This combination will become your happy place if you sensitive to noise and/or misophonic.
