You should return the 8gb stick and get a 2x4.

Getting it to run "properly" could cause your system to be unstable.

Lots of new and interesting things happening in motherboards, and, undoubtedly, THAT will be the deciding factor for me... Still, LGA 2011 is giving newer chipsets a good hard fight.

I wonder why nvidia is seeing much less of a gain with DX12. I had wondered if this might be an issue when I bought my 980Ti.
