Jo: Some nice clicks there, can you share the exif info too? This was one of my entries to be shortlisted for an exhibition of the movie "Dhobi Ghat". the theme was life in Mumbai.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1433810/?licb=0.05312100367522732 http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5049/5232275562...

Re: General photography thread [img heavy]

I agree the 1st picture is beautiful, with the blue sky and orange glow, kinda has that surreal feel..

Re: General photography thread [img heavy]

Nice pics, I do notice some good background formation but its getting overexposed. I think this would have been shot in the harsh afternoon light. Thanks! And yes, it was around 2pm/1400 (the EXIF says differently because I apparently don't have the camera's clock set correctly). Incidentally I do ...

Re: General photography thread [img heavy]

Two engines parked back-to-back on a siding with an interesting structure in the background. My kingdom for a blue sky with light cloud activity  In retrospect, given the lighting conditions, I should have grabbed the Red #29 and then made a proper black-and-white job out of it, instead. Still...

Re: Well, now THAT's disappointing lens behavior...

the 15-85mm costs way too much for being both EF-S and variable aperture. I haven't handled one, but according to the sharpness comparisons on Lenstip, the 15-85 is ludicrously sharp wide open, sharper than the 17-55 at equivalent apertures. In other words, you'll probably be shooting the 17-55 at ...

Allrite thanx a lot for your replies..
BTW i checked the load temps without the chassis and it showed the temps at 49"c at full load. So do you guys think that maybe if I install a more faster chassis fan or mod my case to fit one more fan would that help ?

I think stock heatsink and fan should do the trick ? BTW I have an ATX cabinet with one cabinet fan... The stock heatsink and fan are designed assuming an ambient air temperature of about 20C-25C. If your room temp is 10 to 15 degrees warmer than that, you're going to have higher CPU temps. Thus a ...

Do you think cool n quiet will work, also is it advisable with Asus K8v since the board does not have AGP PCI locks hence changing the clockspeed would harm it...

AMD 64 3000+ and Asus K8v

I am getting very high temps on the machine I have installed the stock HeAT SINK FAN, THE Temp reaches 62"c at load and 50"c at stock. How do I lower the temps?

BTW I live in India so the room temps out here is roundabout 34"c
