Re: FAH6 Linux SMP core Failures at the WU Complete

Thanx for the responses.

I've stopped the current WU and deleted the "a2" core. When I restarted, a new "a2" core downloaded. I'll see if this WU finishes properly, while I digest Notreds instructions.

FAH6 Linux SMP core Failures at the WU Complete

I've been having problems with my Linux box completing work units. At the end of a work unit, it shuts down the core and hangs forever. Its been doing this for a while now. Has anyone else seen this and do you know of a solution. Here is my computer info _____________________________________________...

Thanx,

Mr Farmpuma,

By the way, what's the source of all you recent production prowess. We were near the same level, but you've recently opened up a 100K gap.......and growing. That's a serious can of Whoop-As_!!

Did someone donate you a Cray?????

Re: SMP Clent versus ATI GPU client

I ran them both over night. The SMP client (running project 2665) is taking about 1:35:00 per cycle while the GPU2 client (Running Project 4742) is taking only 9 minutes per. I not sure of the expected throughput for the GPU client but I think that over one hour per for the SMP probably want finish ...

SMP Clent versus ATI GPU client

I presently have an AMD X2 4400 and 4G of ram with and ATI 4670 Video card with of 1G of ram. Until now, it has been folding 24/7 using the SMP client. I've just updated my ATI catalyst software and I noticed that it also installed the ATI GPU Clent. I have two Questions. 1. Is it more productive to...

Re: Milestones: 100K and above

That explains it all. I was wondering why the only meals that I've been able to eat is the dust kicked up from your sprint into super-folder-dum!!!!!! Can you run the GPU clients on an Nvidia 8600 GTS? That 's the best graphics card that I have available. I've had to down grade some of my dual cores...

The mouse is PS2. Further, it is connected via an Automatic KVM switch. I have 4 computers sharing the same keyboard, monitor and mouse. Even though I said that it was the mouse that locked up, I think that it was the entire system. I had to do a hard reset to recover. Even with the overcclock (FSB=...

Cass, You were correct about the overclock. I started over and raised the clock to 210 MHz. Its runnung stable at this frequency. I tried 233 MHz, but the mouse locked up upon boot. When the current WU completes, I'll creep up until I find the highest stable frequency. Thanx for the info...... Stone...

Somethings wrong here. The slowest smp rig I have is opteron 2x244, and it makes the deadlines easily running 24/7. I'm guessing you meant to say p4m890t-m mobo also, because I doubt that an e4300 will function in an AM2 MB. I actually have a p4m890 with an e6300 in it, and it OC's pretty good and h...
