Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I got out of my workshop after working out yesterday, all sweaty in shorts and a tanktop...it was a little above freezing when I went out to work out, and in low single digits when I got done (in like 1.5 hours). That was the fastest I've run back to the house in ages  We're not getting snow th...

The popeyes here in Amarillo are terrible as hell. Y'all are lucky. It's a 20 minute wait for cold dry food. Never eat there anymore.

Re: NFL 2017

If I was a Browns fan I'd be livid. I'm usually all for giving HC's 3 years or so before canning them, but one damn game in 2 years? Oh man I'd be done--not for the bad record but for keeping that coach

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I hiked about 6-7 miles; it was ~15 degrees when I started and warmed up to a balmy 20 or so when I was done.

My mustache froze into a giant icicle, but I saw lots of cool birds and some deer, and a fox, so that was nice

yeah, I woudln't keep a betta in less than 5 gallon; and at that point 10's are usually actually cheaper to buy for some weird assed reason.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

turns out I am hosed so hard my anus is bruising. My water heater is in a location that is no longer legal for it to be in. Since I'm replacing it, I'll have to relocate it. Usually I'd say the hell with it and do it anyway but we're moving in May or June and putting the house for sale. So it has to...

Yep. And I managed to break it while getting it off about 10 minutes after posting that. *sigh*. Oh well, I'll measure and get replacement piping when I'm back at the hardware store getting a new water heater. Full story because I want to vent: We had our youngest son's birthday party yesterday. He ...

why the hell are T&P relief valves so stubborn and why isn't there more clearance between the body of the water heater and the pipe that connects to the valve. Ugh.

Re: Basting meat with molasses in slow cooker?

Under some circumstances they can, and PHA's have pretty broad latitude. There's a lot of HUD programs and I'd have to know which one whm is on; sounds like one of their programs with a substance abuse focus? Those ones aren't particularly active in my area so I don't have working experince with them.

I've debated attending our local indoor football games; tickets are dirt cheap and I think my kids would enjoy a quarter or two before they got bored.

I buy the Mara conspiracy theories. Dude's been low-key scummy for a long time.

Unrelated note: I really hate injuries. The Texans have most of their best starters on IR this year :/ 15 or so players total.

Re: Upgrade or build?

yeah, I've got my steam folder and boot drive on an SSD.

Problem is my motherboard only has 2 DIMM slots so I'd have to buy a 2x8 for RAM rather than just picking up a set of 2x4 to add to my current RAM :/ I should have mentioned that. Otherwise I'd have upgraded the RAM already

Upgrade or build?

Current specs: a Haswell i5 4460 @ 3.2 Ghz Ram: 8 gigs of DDR3 @ 798 mghz Sapphire Radeon 260x I upgraded my monitor a while ago and can't play at native resolutions (1440p woohoo) so the easy answer is GPU, but I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading that or just holding off till I can upgrade the who...

Re: Help me understand, why is there a sport section?

I used to do kickboxing (school went out of business), and am nerdy. Still lift; currently recovering from some back injuries but hope to have my squat back up over 400 and my dead back up over 450 within a couple of months (I'd like 5 and 6 respectively but that'll be a bit). No, we're not all anti...

Re: Gun prOn!

I sold mine and don't regret it. It was well made, fairly well finished, and reliable but I just really didn't like shooting it and had a hell of a time being at all accurate with it (other people didn't, and I've got other guns I'm much more accurate with so I'm not sure why). I wanted to like it b...

Ribs

Brisket

Turkey

4 types of sweet potatoes

2 types of pie

huge salad

I'm stuffed as hell and carb loaded. Tomorrow's deadlifts will be epic; trying 295 for 10 then a few sets of 5-6.

derfunk, something similar happened to our old plasma.

We decided to just replace it; the quotes we got to fix anything were a good chunk of money (like a couple hundred bucks) and given that it happened superbowl week there were good deals some 50"+ TVs so...yeah we just did that instead

Had a work van ahead of me on the commute this morning...the trailer it was hauling started throwing sparks, then came off the hitch. Almost sideswiped someone while swerving to avoid the careening trailer.

That got my heart rate up for a bit.

been on 12 hour shifts since this started doing our back end work.

I'm exhausted and I'm not even out there doing ****, I'm just in an office.

I had no idea Texas had this many shallow water draft boats, and it *still* isn't enough.
