Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I've never been to Bisbee; that's from a national grasslands right off the NM SH39, deep in Hardin County NM. It's 2100 square miles with a county wide population of 600 people :D You take US HWY 87 & 54 where they join in Dalhart, TX, until 54 hits I40 around Tucumcari, and 87 hits Raton, and y...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

We went to Capulin today; some dumbass double passed us and hte car in front of us on the way down from the rim. :o  For those that haven't been....you gain like 1200 feet in elevation in 1.5 miles up that road and there's no shoulder and no rails. Double yellow line, lots of curves the whole ...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

honestly I've never bothered with firearms; I'll stick with bear spray. Take a snare drum, put some sand in it for weight/speed, and roll it down a good hill towards you and try to hit it with a revolver. Have fun with that. Bears can go 20+ mph in a charge, and they're not going to be presenting br...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I knew my mom had some bad experience with bears as a kid, but this weekend drove home how much she frigging fears/hates them. We were out in NM in a remote area (and yes, there are bears there). We hear a sound that *might* be a bear chuffing, and she freaks out six ways to sunday Literally grabs u...

Even if that was taken within an hour...I'm pretty sure I've done worse (like washing down a caffeine pill or two with a 2 liter of diet coke, or eating a handful of plain espresso beans with mountain dew). There's *got* to be something else going on right?

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

just dropping an 8 year old off and vanishing will do that.

Seriously. Someone left a kid at our office. 8ish, no clue where parents where, was there when we opened.

They weren't back yet when we closed. The police and CPS had people there by then.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

In the last 3 days I've dealt with every technology vendor we have for different SNAFUs; our client records vanishing from the cloud based software that we use for client interactions, our printer is broken as hell, and somehow our shared drive decided to reformat itself. I'm hating technology right...

Making a list of neat cities within those boundaries to take our kids to :) So far: ...

We're trying to put off replacing our computer chair and couch until the kids are both a bit older (at least until the younger one's fully toilet trained). Furniture shopping sucks, furniture's expensive, and kids are messy. But damn I want a new chair

1440 monitors?

I noticed a few sub 300 dollar 1440 IPS monitors on amazon lately; I'll link a few in comments. Most of the reviews I'm finding online are for higher end stuff though, and I just do not have 500 bucks to drop on a monitor. Are any of these worth buying? Viewsonic 24" 1440 [HP Elite](https://www...

and this is only 26 out of our 250 odd counties :D Once you get up around Lubbock on up we're essentially huge swaths of farms, ranches, and mixed grass prairie--so when it's dry, like this winter was, you've got thousands of square miles of kindling ready to go up. Combine that with our winds--gust...

Some Mary Guthrie (no idea if she's related to Woody). Kind of country.
