Are you for real or is this an elaborate troll? Heh, what? I suppose I'm the jerk when I give this little putz his snarkiness right back in his face in multiplicity...? Re: Need Win 7 Driver for Old PC Gameport Device Plugged via

Just out of curiosity, why are you wanting this particular joystick so badly and not a modern one that's natively USB? What, you mean like a thumb-stick or something? Nah. I read that page that was linked to above. So will a Rockfire Gameport to USB converter, model RM-203 suffice for lack of a mod...

I keep finding lots of instances of a model RM-203. Will that do as well as a model RM-203U?

Need Win 7 Driver for Old PC Gameport Device Plugged via USB

I've just gotten a PC Raider joystick ( this ) from Amazon. It's has a 15-pin male plug, so I also got a USB adaptor for it too. When I plug it into my Win 7 Pro 64-bit system via USB, it reads as an "unknown device" and doesn't seem to install any driver software and so the joystick does ...

Re: It's New Computer Time, AGAIN!

Coming to the forum of such a website like TR and asking the community memebers [sic] to find you a pre built machine is the first mistake you did.. Oh, really? Is that really so? If you don't prefer to build your own system from scratch, there's nothing wrong with that. Yes, thank you! Everybody k...

Ah, good! Some good replies are coming! *pant pant!* Lemme catch my breath here, as the my previous replies were not easy nor fun (nor did I come intending to make them--that was not my purpose at all, really), AND with this current crap-computer that's ONLY better than no computer at all, and I'm i...

Re: It's New Computer Time, AGAIN!

Let me get this straight, you want to buy another pre-assembled computer with specs simillar to what you already have, even though you could just repair your existing computer by replacing the motherboard? I am not operating under the presumption that the blown mobo was the only problem. Repair tec...

Perhaps. Trouble is, I can't build that stuff. No building on my behalf, please.

Okay, forget the above-quoted price of >=$300US for a post or two. What already-built system can you show me that can be delivered to me, ready for me to install my Win7 Pro OS onto and go.

Well, much as I'd really, REALLY love to be able to play BioShock Infinite right now, I might be constrained by cost. And I can't actually put together an entire system by myself. I mean I guess I'd have to build that myself? How much is that anyway, like the total cost? Will it play BioShock Infini...

I think they're rather self explanatory. Ah, boy! Okay, you're losing me here, sorry to say. The track name should hold a description of what the subs translate, e.g. "Signs/CC", or "Dialogue", or if you put nothing, they'll just appear as (language) subs. Okay, I guess I'm gonn...

Yes, that's right. I'm getting rid of those. None of those are the right subtitles that I need. The right subtitles are in the .SRT, and I want those embedded into the movie.

So what about those settings in the lower area? ???

http://imageshack.us/a/img253/3324/mkvmergegui1.jpg Hokay, I wanna make sure that I'm doing this correctly. Integrating .SRT File Into .MKV File...?

Please tell me how to like integrate an .SRT file into an .MKV file, please.

That way I'll have better .MKVs with properly embedded subtitles and can then get rid of the .SRTs as they would no longer be needed.

Please help. :)

Virtual PC: WinXP Mode @ 800x600 Rez?

I've d/led, installed, and updated the Virtual PC, WinXP Mode from Microsoft. But I need it to run in, or at least be able to be switched to, 800x600 rez when run in full-screen. I can't seem to change the rez while in it, though. This is its rez when I run it on my Win7 Pro, 64-bit system, and it w...

Re: How to Set New Drive as 'A:\'?

So how can I maybe further rename the .GOG file to get the image mounted. Or maybe I need a better .CUE file. Or maybe I should just keep speculating here!? Jesus Christ! Speculating myself, but is there any chance that .GOG means the game must be played through GOG.com? Probably not, I'm guessing,...
