Re: How about an Rx 480... for $640

Just sold my GTX 1060 6GB, only lasted a few hours on Ebay. Sold it at no loss price including fees and shipping costs, didn't use auction to try to extract profit. Good time to cash out for non-serious gamer, maybe come back in during holidays, or switch to console. Just an utter suck fest for PC g...

Netflix 4k streaming needs Kaby lake processor, if you ever decide to use iGPU for your HTPC.

PC#2 CPU: i3-2120 @3.30GHz RAM: 4GB The case is SFF so it's no good for more storage but the rest of the parts should be usable. Keep in mind the big constraint/reality check for home NAS currently...(w/o $$$) gigabit ethernet's 100MB/sec or even AC wifi's supposed 170MB/sec You will be much better...

Yup, the last crypto crash rewarded AMD with a stellar 18% discrete GPU marketshare, that will never happen again amirite? And people wonder why NV doesn't really bother with crypto, when the competitor is so busy torpedoing itself with unneeded supply and pricing volatility. Won't be the same. All...

Either buy a QNAP or Synology, or roll your own with FreeNAS . All very good and viable options. Just remember to also buy a UPS if you centralize valuable(to you) data. QNAP live demo Synology live demo If you have win 10 pro, enable hyper-v and you should be able to create a few VHDs and create a ...

Re: Xbox One S, and Microsoft Teases Project Scorpio for 2017

I dunno if that's quiet right. The PS4 has much larger market share because of major miss steps on MS's part. As an over reaction, every single facet on the Xbox One X is better/bigger than PS4 Pro. More RAM, more CUs, higher CPU hertz, higher CU hertz, UHD blu-ray player,... if reports are correct....

It could definitely be useful. Not for single devices like GPUs, but getting more bandwidth out of the same number lanes on a system-wide basis could make current lane allocation shenanigans less of an issue. Even so, we will still be better off increasing the number of lanes instead. Pin count mat...

Re: I need help planning cooling

Have your researched dual card setup? No one recommends it anymore. Unless you have a specific app in mind that specifically has support for it. GTX 1070 for around $400? GTX 1080 is easily 30% better than 1070, $400 + 30% is $520. You can easily get GTX 1080 for $500. Save money wasted on new fans ...

This is Sony we are talking about. The PS3's blu-ray support was a major selling point. The fact that they didnt include it is not a mistake. I think its way too early for UHD blu-ray. - still a billion competing HDR formats out there... - only a couple of Rec 2020 TVs out there. - Rec 2100 just got...

NSA only likes it when they alone have the key to the backdoor. This is more like a lock that opens if you insert a blank, uncut key into it. If NSA knew, I'm pretty sure they would've reported this to Intel themselves since it is trivially exploitable by anyone , including hostile foreign powers. ...

Not likely to be the driver when there is no POST video before Windows loads. That's a 250w GPU and I would look first at trying a different PSU. Seems very unsafe. You should just ask why the CAs were removed.

The only certainty is that you are unplugging a security avenue that was closed. Good or bad reason, you just dont know. Are you authorized to do that? Do you want to be liable for that?
