Most older systems run well in ubuntu. I had a P3 700MHz laptop with ubuntu earlier, and it ran Ubuntu smoothly. I remember someone complaining that they had problems using >1TB of disk space, and upon investigation it appears that UFS does have some issues that kick in at that point. Now we're here. This is good thing for all customers, but I'm still concered for AMDs economics. I truly hope we'll see some good developments over the next few years, so we can still have a competetive x86 CPU market.

All these massive releases are a strange development if you ask me. I like that Ubuntu still keeps their main release constrained to one CD, doing the rest over networking is much perfered to downloading many GiBs of data you will never use.

Atleast they didn't release it on 20 CDs.
