Its basically a toss up between the Tuniq Tower 120 and Thermalright Ultra-120. I'm running the latter on an E6600 @3.6 GHz with an 86cfm panaflo fan. Load temperatures vary between 58-59 in TAT. In most games, the temperatures stay well below 50. Idle temps are around 40-42 depending upon ambients....

The upside down install can lead to malfunctioning heatpipes at times. IMHO both the CM Stacker 830 and Silverstone TJ-09 are better cases than that Lian Li. You you might wanna check out both those options too.

That bios should be fine I guess. Not all Ultra-D boards mod to SLi-D btw.

The reference 680i mobos don't like linked mode. Try unlinked and set the ram frequency to something conservative. Also is the ram actively cooled? Without active cooling, at those voltages, the ram will die in no time.

I run it 24/7 at 392x9 (4:5 ratio) @1.475V in bios (1.41 after droop and 1.39 load) on air using a thermalright ultra-120. Its an L628A batch cpu so does about average.

16x/4x in CF mode too. Infact its hardwired to 16x/4x. There's no option anywhere to change it. The P5B Deluxe will run dual x1600 without a hitch... with or without crossfire.

By any chance is the power supply connected to an APC BackUPS? A friend of mine had similar whine on an Antec NeoHE 500 which again is a seasonic OEM psu.

Flash to the latest bios and look under cpu configuration. There'll be something called cpu ratio.

Its tsunami minus aluminium plus plastic. So should sell for less. I'd gladly stay away from tt cases though... they are way too gaudy and noisy for my taste.

Why are you comparing a PCI-E only card with an AGP only card :S? If your board has AGP, get the Ti4200, if its PCI-E get the 6200 TC or better still the normal 6200.

My first post here :). Well I don't have much idea about the first part, but regarding overclocking, the K8N/K8N-E deluxe will not lock the PCI/AGP unless you set the AGP frequency to 67 MHz. The overclocking ur talking about is the crappy AI overclocking. Set it to manual and you have full control ...
