Re: TR Redesign: bugs - features - tips

I've been using Xolore's CSS mod as I find it a much nicer way of using the site. However, I found the search really jarring to use and so I made a few additions to his work. In my opinion, the additions make things a bit more cohesive. I'm no web dev so I apologize if the code below is terrible but...

Re: TR Redesign: bugs - features - tips

I just noticed that the page number links in articles do not match the page number links on the main page. Could the page numbers in the articles match the style shown on the front page, at least until the navigation drop down is brought back?

Re: TR Redesign: bugs - features - tips

At least as a temporary stop-gap until the Hot threads summary is implemented, could links to "New Posts" and "Active Topics" be added as a drop down to the "Forums" link on the front page?

I move that we break off Fish's original post here, and create a new official thread dedicated to constructively discussing and prioritizing the suggestion list, and then float it at the top. No venting, just organizing the list. That'll give the new owners a place to quickly and easily get input f...

Been enjoying those. Everyone should at least watch the T-1 minute for the first 10 minutes or so. You'll get goosebumps.

Thank you for sharing that!

Re: Custom cables for headphones

If your P5 Series 2 takes standard 3.5mm headphone cables, you may want to look here: https://zapcables.com/audio-cables/ . They offer both DIY and prebuilt cables, at least when they aren't at full capacity. Their DIY kits in particular are reasonably priced. They seem to have a great reputation, e...

Thanks Tarx for putting these together! I also haven't been able to contribute in the last couple months. My PC hasn't been as active after the birth of my daughter. Hopefully I can start folding again soon too.

Re: Nest Thermostats: Which one?

I've had a Nest for the last 6 years and I have really enjoyed it. It has actually saved me from frozen pipes before too. I was out of the state for a week around Christmas right after I bought my house. I had just installed the Nest a couple weeks earlier. While away, I started to notice that my ho...

Climate change is crazy https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/weather/ontario/timmins Indeed. We are back up to 29°F now with clear skies. But Sunday night we were down at 12°F plus snow and wind gusts of up to 40mph. We have had a really mid winter so far otherwise. We had more snow back in mid Nov...

Drove straight home from Vegas to Calgary today. 22 hours and I'm here. The i15 was almost 100% clear and dry, though it looks like it'll get pretty dicey tomorrow. Thanks for the advice guys, it worked out beautifully! Glad you made it home safely! You luckily missed some pretty interesting weathe...

Re: TR Frankenbot 2018; wow, is it that time already?

The tracker must be down today? Zero points since 12am. I was beginning to wonder if there was an issue with my client. I switched over to my folding account to double check and saw that I was still getting 0 points even though I'm not getting any errors. In a way I'm glad to see that the issue is ...

Re: TR Frankenbot 2018; wow, is it that time already?

It looks like we are really having a difficult time sustaining >3M PPD, even with the recent additions to the effort. The good news is that we should still break last year's record if we can maintain the 2.9M PPD production! If everything stays stable from here on out we should break 86M points for ...

Also, check on the F@H Advanced Control window that your folding power is set to "Full" How much of a difference do you typically see between the "Medium" and "Full" setting? On my system, there is only about 5-10k PPD difference in output, but my system is basically u...

Re: TR Frankenbot 2018; wow, is it that time already?

(19,562,699 P in the last calendar 7 days is an average 2,794,671 PPD for Frankie, but from 25 contributors so a mean of 111,787 PPDPContributor :( ) That's the part that always seems so strange to me. Our actual production average seems about 30% low compared to what people have posted as their PPD.

I've been playing Vox Machina on my Rift lately and it has been a ton of fun! The movement controls for the mech are all setup in virtual space, i.e. you have move your hands to the controls and squeeze the grip triggers to "grab" the controls and then move your hand to adjust the controls...

Re: TR Frankenbot 2018; wow, is it that time already?

Make sure you're checking your rigs daily. Based on those who've chimed in about their PPD (assuming everyone is folding 24/7), we should be seeing between 550k-600k points in each 3 hour time slot. I do wonder if my points aren't being counted towards Frankie. It's either that or, based on Extreme...

So after clean installing nvidia 411.70 drivers this afternoon, I've had three WU failures. I've since tried fully removing the driver manually and then reinstalling it, I'm not sure if it helped yet though. Currently I am not overclocking my 1070 either so I hope it isn't a stability problem. Is an...

I'm back up to ~700k now. Frankie should see a decent bump in PPD from here on out.

Edit: Dang, WU Failed. Not sure what is going on right now with my GPU/driver. This is the first issue I've had with F@H since last December. Hopefully I can get this sorted tonight.
