Re: Problem with Konica Bizhub c654e color copier / printer / scanner

I ran into something similar in my work environment with our fleet of Konica-Minoltas. It seemed that whenever somebody tried to print a pdf file to our networked printers, it would hang and never print. These are the steps that I did and it appears to have solved the issue: • Log onto the print ser...

Re: Can private companies use license plate scanners?

With regards to putting your "home" address into Google Maps, Waze, etc., I simply make my "home" address an actual street address on the other side of my subdivision. The GPS routing and time estimates when driving there are close enough for getting to my actual address and I do...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

All of this talk about beer reminded me of a funny story. I used to drink, but I don't drink anymore. I was out with a group of friends at the local Applebee's and I asked the server if they had any non-alcoholic beers. Without missing a beat, the young lady said "No, but we do have $2 Long Isl...

Re: Over 100GB of cab_xxxx_xx files in C:\Windows\Temp -- WTF?

I have come across this problem with CAB files filling up the hard drives here at work. We are a Windows 7 shop and some of the PC's are a few years old. Hence, some came with smaller hard drives - 160GB - 250GB. There have been times where a user would call me and complain that they had run out of ...

Re: Darn it, Equifax!

Conveniently, this also disqualifies him from participating in any upcoming Congressional hearings. No, it does not. I honestly have no idea where you even got that idea. Congress can subpoena anyone it likes for virtually any reason it wants. "Grand inquest of the state" etc... I mean, l...

Re: Darn it, Equifax!

In a move that should come as a surprise to nobody, the CEO of Equifax "retired" today.

It would seem that not even air-gapped networks are 100% bulletproof.

Re: CCleaner p0wnage

What on earth were people at any of those companies doing installing or even being allowed to install crudware ccleaner anyway? And to add the cherry on top, they would need to have been using the 32-bit version of CCleaner to get infected. Are there still that many Windows PC's running a 32-bit OS...

Re: What's in your garden?

TIL: I noticed that the cucumbers have little prickly spines on them. Apparently most cucumbers have these, but you wouldn't know it unless you grow your own since the store-bought ones have the spines removed before they are sold to consumers. They're easily removed via a quick once-over with a ki...
