The best (well, weirdest) music from that series is actually found in Metropolis Street Racer on the Dreamcast. Two examples:

Re: Chicago

I've been there. It has a good art gallery. Some nice buildings as well. The south side of town was a bit rough, though.

Re: What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

Found this on Pandora: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooUZ4zvah2k Also been listening to this a lot lately...it's a real guilty pleasure. The short version is from DDR, while the long version is from another rhythm game called Pop'n Music . Alternate version and live video also available (clearly, ...

Re: What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

Gets better. He actually makes step charts in his spare time and is involved in organizing the DDR event that is held periodically at UofI. When I clicked the link in your previous post, he started hunting through all of his browser tabs looking for where it was coming from before realizing it wasn...

Re: What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

Well, I was just listening to this.

But in general, I've been listening to this, this, and this.

I said that I tried those. Thin, wholly unimpressive treble.

Marantz Professional, specifically, is owned by inMusic Brands, who also own M-Audio.

Indeed.

Anyhow, I did a bit of digging, and came up with the Marantz Professional Studio Scope 3. They seem unusually cheap, and don't have a lot of reviews available, but as my options are limited, I'll give them a try.

Re: Having trouble finding new speakers.

I doubt that the dull left speaker is fixable. It has a sound like a driver is damaged (from reading reviews, it seems like left/passive speaker problems are kind of common amongst stereo computer speakers). The knob static is only in the right speaker, FWIW. The Edifier R1280T seems almost good, ex...

Re: Having trouble finding new speakers.

Scroll down to check out the studio monitor speakers that TR staff recommended: http://techreport.com/review/30771/tr-october-2016-peripheral-staff-picks/9 The PreSonus speakers seem nice, in the same price range as the Audioengine A2s, but they're massive. My old, original T20s are almost perfect ...

Having trouble finding new speakers.

The speakers I've been using for the past 10 years, the original Creative Gigaworks T20s, are wearing out. The volume knob has been increasingly staticy for the past 2 years (and is not easily replaceable), and the left speaker got dull about a year ago. Reviews say that the new Series II T20s are o...

Re: Joining the Religion & Politics Forum

I wouldn't mind having access. I've been posting on message boards since 2003, including some really seedy ones (not 4chan, thankfully), and I've learned to gently wade through shark-infested waters and not blow my top. In other words, I'm not an agitator, but I can take agitation if presented. Oh, ...
