Re: Question about building a tiny .qcow2 for different uses

Docker containers do persist after exits, unless the docker run command used the --rm option. So if you exit the shell, then restart and re-attach to that container the earlier files are still there. However, Docker management best practices are to consider containers as read-only and generate new i...

Re: Poor HDMI port on 2012 MacBook Pro Retina 15

[list][*]The first is a couple of leaf-spings in the socket that push into the two indents/holes on the top of the HDMI plug. It sounds like these could be loose, worn or broken. Thanks Chrispy. I think this is the problem, I suspect that at some time the cat was entangled in the cable and yanked i...

Yes, I am still using my 2012 MacBook. It works fine, but I've noticed over several months that the HDMI port is not holding HDMI cables very well. The port is soundly in the case. Re: How to diagnose a roaming AP problem?

Since forcing a device to roam to a specific unit is very hard to do, consider trying a different approach.

My suggestion is to consider some sort of network testing equipment like Ixia's Ixchariot to test the wireless AP performance.

Re: Weird LG G4 battery drain

Here’s a solution I found online - maybe it’ll do the trick. Discharge your LG G4 thoroughly until it turns itself off. Turn it on again and let it turn off. Plug your phone into a charger and, without turning it on, let it charge until the on-screen or LED indicator says 100 percent. Turn your phon...
