Re: Basic physics help....

I've got several ideas, but, given my lack of actual physics lessons I don't want to mention them without some more information. (which I suspect others may want as well) I may honestly be of no help in the end, but, here's my questions.. How long is the tube? What type of readings are you actually ...

I cannot be the only person here that remembers that there was a hubub about the Japanese military getting ansy because these things shared characteristics with the computer INSIDE an ICBM.. not as a hacking tool, but the actual ICBM hardware

Re: Japan - worlds smallest orbital rocket

Neat. Shame it didn't make it to orbit this time, but a small payload might be a perfect fit for regular ISS supply missions. You're going to need a significant fraction of that 140kg just for rendezvous thrusters and the like. Would you really? OR... Could you launch it in a specific time/trajecto...

"With avionics and other electronics sourced from home electronics and smartphones"

Looks like japan was right when they were trying to stop the ps2 (or was it the ps3) from coming in at the idea it could be used to control an ICBM.

Don't worry darkmage, vrock already berated me about my bullpup sks..

secondly, I actually like the feel of bullpups over, umm, non bullpups... traditional? standard? whatever, tasters choice of course, if I was left handed that would be a different matter (though the f2000 and p90 are ambidextrous)

Re: Cloning a mac hdd (HFS+) on a PC (win7-64 ntfs)?

yeah, I've read that linux had several types of tricks, including possibly an ability to read hfs+, not sure, didnt read up on it much, I've never used linux.. I meant to mention that I wasn't looking to go the linux route as I'm already trying to get used to one new OS (first time I've touched a ma...

the internet protocol suite was invented/created in the 60's by DARPA.. html was designed in the 80's and finally released in 1990, consider this the arduous rich text equivalent of the internet.. or, perhaps a better argument, consider this 1980's/1990's virtual reality headsets.. this is not the e...

Thank you modern society for making so many people on an internet based tech site, so scared of internet based tech... lets try to imagine a future where we're not viewing 1984 as a premature history book and think about this objectively... this is a great thing.. You know, honestly, I agree with Convert... These things are worse than popups! How? Seriously? In what way are they worse than pop ups? Aside from maybe the random click to activate a tab, which is a fair stretch of a reason to me (but, thats my opinion) I can find no way in which this is even comparable to a pop up, letalone worse.. Re: Gun prOn!

The main problem I've heard with the Five-Seven so far has been that the pistol can fire with the breach slightly open (I'm not exactly happy with the fact that that is a possibility), ive seen at least three separate stories of this happening online so far, all with reloaded ammunition, I've yet to...

Anyone on here have experience with the FN Five-Seven? Just curious, looks like a nifty pistol, pricey though! I agree, except for your comments on the three round burst. It's a "feature" that caters to the lowest common denominator; the only purpose it serves is to keep dumb 18 year old Privates from emptying a magazine with one trigger pull. I would prefer to have control of the weapon vs. it ha...
