Re: OS for Plex Server?

Thank you guys for your recommendations.

I think I'll follow roncat and will try plex on ubuntu. I've already found the install guide, let's see how it goes.

Thanks again :)

OS for Plex Server?

Hello, guys. Would you recommend me what OS to choose for a Plex Server? I've read positive reviews about Plex on Ubuntu, however still want to be one hundred percent sure before installing the server. Any comments are welcome :)

Linux VPS

Hey guys, wanted to ask where you get VPS for your Linux (if you're using one) and if you're happy with the provided service. I've recently found this Linux VPS provider and been wondering, maybe you've hear something about them?

FreeNAS is awesome. I love it. That said, I'm going to be going to Ubuntu soon for my next Plex server. Ubuntu does ZFS and it's a lot easier to configure Plex for transcoding.

I've been using plex on ubuntu for quite some time now. Cannot complain, everything works just fine :)

Re: Battletech game coming out

Have you guys tried the newest DLC? Is it worth a buy? Better than Flashpoint? I'm considering giving it a go.

Re: New Dragon Age!

But the story and the characters- with their stengths and weaknesses- definitely makes the series worthy of a playthrough. All of the games deserve a playthrough because of that; ME, DA, and the Witcher! Even a couple of playthroughs because of how decisions you made carry through to the next game....

Re: BALDUR'S GATE III

Super stoked to hear the news, but I also am fully expecting this to be a Baldur's Gate "in name only" title. All the new attempts at recreating the isometric + dialogue magic of Baldur's Gate have fallen flat IMO (looking at you Pillar's of Eternity). I'm excited to see what Larian does ...

Re: The Outer Worlds goes Epic exclusive

Well, it makes sense to wait about a year after release anyway, to see some bugs fixed, DLCs come out, maybe wait for a sale, etc. Don't see why this is such a big deal, want the game early, go Epic, do not want to go Epic, wait a year, kinda simple.

S2 is amazing (not that S1 isn't good, too).

Just bought Xcom: Enemy Unknown. Seems so cool right from the start. Will gladly give 200+ hours of my life to this one and then to Xcom 2 :D

Re: BALDUR'S GATE III

I have high hopes, both because of DOS 2, which was awesome and because Swen Vincke seems like such a huge fan of DnD. There is a community update video he made about how he got the license for Baldur's Gate III and god damn how nerdy and awkward it is :D gives me all the hope in the world.
