You can defeat the AFCI at that wall outlet by disconnecting the ground wire behind the outlet faceplate. However, this would leave that outlet unprotected. Yikes!!! The ground wire is nessasary. I hope you don't give out that kind of free advice on a regular basis. [quote="just brew it!"...

How painful of a process is it to upgrade just the CPU?

All my upgrades have included the motherboard with the processor and usually some trial and error with drivers and windows. If you just swap a single core Athalon for a duel core opty what is a typical experience?
