Re: My plant based Keto diet experience

He probably has hemochromatosis, a common white male ailment where to much iron is absorbed and blood letting really is the treatment. Ancient doctors got that one right.

Re: My plant based Keto diet experience

I did keto for about eight months in 2012. I lost 60 lbs, and my blood sugar stabilized from diabetic levels to high normal ones with no medication. My blood iron also spiked to a point where if a dietary change didnt fix it I would have to start bloodletting. I stoppped the keto. Since then I gain...

Re: My plant based Keto diet experience

You read way too much into a study that doesn't show any data. They may have observed an improvement so miniscule it's within the margin of error. To a lab a 0.01% difference is worth noting, but often in our use case's it's useless. At any rate, even with studies you need to approach them expecting...

Re: My plant based Keto diet experience

This reminds me of a documentary about the guy who at one point had the record for longest time with no food. i think it was 55 days or 60 days or something. Anyway i could tell during the documentary that he was hoping for a butterfly type transformation or something and was sorely disappointed whe...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

To play devil's advocate: the Nintendo DS was panned as a weird gimmick at its launch because of its double screens, and Nintendo sold 150 million of them. There can be a use case and a market for a clamshell with two screens. That being said, Nintendo is surprisingly amazing at selling weird, new,...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

A kegerator has been one of my fondest dreams. SWMBO, OTOH, has firmly declared NO and she's not wrong. What do you think about this. I was looking around at options and thought that's a really good middle ground. Especially if you have a local place to fill it with goodies. They have a 1 gallon ve...

Depends on the job. Truckers routinely bash gays women and various ethnicities right in the office at my main terminal. Not every environment has become overwhelmingly PC. If you can avoid snowflakes you'll probably be fine.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

grocery and food delivery have really brought the trucking lifestyle up a few notches. The delivery fees are less than the lost productivity of getting into stores so it pays for itself too. Now i just need 1 hour amazon delivery to my truck 8) Figure out the nearest Amazon Locker on your current r...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

Interesting, but I'll definitely get over it. Turning off the truck and listening to music in the quiet was a treat reserved for the perfect temperatureb days when I'm parked alone. Honestly I always assumed active noise cancelling was probably a weak gimmick not worth the money. I was definitely wr...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I can listen to music without having to hear the truck vibrating from idling to stay cool.b it feels weird though, like I'm at the top of a mountain and there's a pressure difference in my ear that I can't clear. I never liked in-ear for long listening times for that reason. Without the active nois...

Re: Yahoo breaches settlement

I filed a claim. I actually had real losses from the breach. I had some eBay gift cards which had codes sent to my Yahoo e-mail. After the breach they had been used. Since the seller was reputable (eBay itself), the only explanation could be that it was related to the breach. My bigger loss was rel...

I bought some Sony wi-1000x in my never-ending search for the perfect headphones. This one is for flying the drone with my goggles and lightweight listening on the go. A cow-orker 100% buys into the carburetor conspiracy theory, fluoridated water being bad, and a whole raft of other conspiracy theories, up to and including that WTC was a controlled demolition. Somehow he sees fit to mock flat-Earthers and deride them because no matter how you explain how they're ...

I much prefer reading as well. I can skim a article in a few seconds and get most of what i need, or have to listen to a 10+ minute youtube video full of fluff. But taking people's time is where the moneys at.

Re: Glucowise

No joke man, rice is 80% carbs. And again just incase you're confused, carbs are the issue for diabetics. Table sugar is a specific type of carb, and although it's one if the fastest digesting since it requires no bio chemical processing, any form of carb will cause similar trouble with varying degr...

Re: Glucowise

Just incase the op doesn't understand this I'll toss it out, rice is almost pure sugar. Any form of carb in high volume will wreck a diabetic. Different forms of sugar will digest at different rates, but that doesn't actually mean anything if you average a high rate of intake of slow digesting sugar...

It's varied wildly over time based on my needs but if you aren't eating carbs there's only two choices, protein and fat(well and alcohol but I'm not a pirate). All completely reversed. How did you reverse it? By not eating carbs. Not very glamorous, complicated, or underground like you're attracted to, but vastly more effective. I also have a weakness to cyanide and I don't eat any. It's been pretty effective so far. The medicine was mostly a quality of l...
