Re: Dashcam for my Car - Buying Advice Needed

Also, and huge props for this, the recording light is an extremely dim blue led. It's barely visible during daytime, and totally reasonable during night time. It's a small detail, but it's about time someone stops putting supernova class bright LED's on night time devices. The streetguardian camera...

Another "what"event. I've said before one of the reason I record this stuff is so I can evaluate incidents afterwards with an accurate accounting. I was glancing at my gps as this person approached and didn't notice them until the car in the left lane started to move. At this point everyon...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I got my replacement dashcam and it seems to be working nicely, does anyone want my old one? Occasionally someone here is poking around for a dash cam. I won't give it to a coworker for liability concerns  Any way, i think it's the V1 of this camera https://www.amazon.com/Street-Guardian-SG966...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I lost my SD card and reader somehow for my dash cam. had a near incident when a truck casually and slowly pulled out of a driveway when I was doing 55. I just wanted to review the situation but I think I tossed the card, which I had removed to copy, when I was cleaning the truck for service....

Scientists should really be studying oatmeal (quick oats) for its adhesive properties. Left on a surface overnight, it hardens into one of the strongest substances known to man --- a type of organic concrete. That it's able to do this with so few ingredients (just oats and water) is pretty impressi...

Re: we are the BORG, you will be assimilated ..eventually:

Isn't there a lot of "training" involved just to get the BCI to work properly? I assume this was really more of a "what if" talk than Valve announcing an actual product that they intend to be working on, but it seems like anyone who wants to use this for gaming needs to find a w...

Ocz was years ahead with this I guess. I used to wear the ocz NIA to play left 4 dead but mostly used the facial muscle detectors.

The primary thing that happened, I eventually stopped carrying molotovs in expert games out of fear I would sneeze and kill the entire party.

Speaking of poor sequels, I noticed that the developers of dungeon defenders 2 re organized as an employee owned studio, for whatever reason, and are running a Kickstarter for a dungeon defenders successor. I'm hoping they get it right this time. The first games simple charm and addictive gear farmi...

It just came to my attention that websites using java script miners to generate cash while you're on the site is a thing. I've been thinking about some of the details involved. Unless you're aware of it, they can use as many resources as they want and you would never know or just think the site is s...

I don't have any social media stuff. I mostly disable single apps notifications as I discover they're too annoying. That alone is not a big deal, it just adds into the total amount of denying time.
