But I hadn't thought about the solar panels as a source of rotation - thanks for the opportunity to learn something today! I might have meant autocomplete, which is vulnerable to SEO (possibly?).

I type "spirit -- " and it is auto completed to spirit airlines.

There's a certain amount of truth. A lot of times the omnibox auto completes my search into something that is clearly sponsored, and it's super annoying.

Funny enough, Daniel is doing nudes and whatnot and no one seems to find it 'jarring'. I think everyone is tip toeing around the issue when it shouldn't be one. That is, I liked her in the first two movies; in the later movies, when they completely discarded the character of Hermione for a generic t...

Re: My "Underpowered" GPU Works Just Fine, Thanks

Rocking a 6770 on an i3 system. Max resolution for my monitor is 1680x1050, and if it can't do medium type detail at that res, I drop to whatever other 16:10 option there is, like 1440x900 or 1280x800. I'm a pretty casual gamer now, and giant, hot, noisy, power sucking GPUs are not for me. I'm not ...

Personally I like the kinzu, small and ambidextrous. If you search for feedback on esreality, you'll see people complaining about +/- acceleration on the pixart sensor, but whatever.

LOL. Quite funny, and Valve would be a huge market driver, being the biggest digital distributor of games around. It doesn't matter how Valve runs it's store either, since linux is an open platform. The real improvements are from increased driver and software support, and bigger userbase. Linux cos...

Re: Vid Card Upgrade for Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard

His cpu isn't that outdated and should give acceptable performance, provided it's overclocked. There isn't any reason to not upgrade the video card first either, since this isn't an old AGP board that you can't use the card once you upgrade the board. I don't see any downside to upgrading the card ...

Re: Intel / Gigabyte H77 motherboard

I want to build the motherboard around the CPU. The memory is 43.99 (gskill 8 gb ddr3 1333 kit). For an i3-2120: $125 on NE, so I want a motherboard around that price. For the 3570K @ $190 on microcenter: I want a motherboard that's more robust. They just happen to have a $50 off certain mobos if I ...

Re: Intel / Gigabyte H77 motherboard

You are correct in that sense, that there doesn't seem to be any point in robustness if the CPU draws so little power. I'll probably take that into consideration to save enough money for a few lunches. It's so easy to creep upwards!

Re: Intel / Gigabyte H77 motherboard

Probably will not overclock, since from all the reviews I've read the i3-2120 is quite close to the CPU plateau, so I'm not especially compelled to buy up into ivy bridge. I am more concerned with getting a robust motherboard, and am not sure if it's ok to cheap out a bit. The i3 has a 65 W TDP. Edi...

Re: xfx 5870 for 160$ CAD

5870 is generally as fast as the $250 7850 - check it out over at Anand. Make you decision. It is only almost as fast as 7850 if tessellation isn't a factor. ;) OK, almost as fast. Tesselation is more pathetic than PhysX. Turn it off. It slows performance without making anything look any better. Li...

That's an Nvidia presentation. When has a lead in such a presentation ever been as stated (AMD or Nvidia)? We work with what we have at the moment until the real reviews publish. What we have is a slide from Nvidia. Nvidia will probably show best case scenarios. That probably means turning on AA if...
