Re: Goodbye Battle.net -

I agree with tanker that it's what any other company does in China. Where my opinion diverges is that I think it's unacceptable. In recent weeks we have this along with: * The continuing saga of the NBA in China: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/14/sports/basketball/lebron-james-china.html * Apple do...

Re: Intel 10th-generation Comet Lake in 2020 on 14+++++ nm

Certainly helps that teh Core i3-10100 has all the cores and threads of a Core i7-7700K. The previous generation Core i3-9100 lacked hyperthreading. Surely that's where most of the gains originated.

Thanks, AMD. :D

Can confirm. In fact, (and I don't think this is giving away anything drfish didn't already say earlier in the thread) Adam contact Nvidia partners directly to make Zak's Super review happened, more than 3.5 years later, because the new regime was unwilling to make any effort.

Re: Intel 10th-generation Comet Lake in 2020 on 14+++++ nm

Been playing with an XPS 13 7390 for the better part of a week. Graphics performance is excellent for an integrated GPU. CPU results and a full review to come soon. I think you'll like it. It's really disappointing and rather unfortunate that Sunnycove can't cover all of Intel's mobile offerings yet...

The Game Boy Micro was a rare mistake from Nintendo when it comes to handhelds. I had the Famicom red and gold one back in The Day, but I don't know where it went. It's a collector's item nowadays.

I don't know about news articles, but perhaps post re reviews that successfully differentiate from others? I tried to read a video card review recently, for example, and lacking frame time analysis / percentile info was a harsh reality check. I'd love to find full reviews that do this stuff. I've s...

Right after Zak's review, I think. Right around August 20. You can click any point in the line to see the date and rank.

PCPer has a similar trend line FWIW.

Most forums are dead; whats the point of moving on if we have a place here already, with our post counts, histories, and infrastructure already in place? I think this is intended to be a "what if they take down the forums" thread. The fact it ever existed means people are worried. The fac...

I tend to keep my mouth shut about cultural shifts or whatever in a professional setting. I also tend to keep my mouth shut about a lot of this stuff in casual settings, because those settings can get contentious. Adding a rich text editor to format comments and reducing the indentation is the very definition of low-hanging fruit, and while it's nice, it's not forum integration.
