I do like PowerDVD however, for some reason when I installed my RADEON 9700 PRO the program didn't seemed to run giving me a strange error and anycase, then I was forced to use ATI DVD player and I find the interface a bit cumbersome for me at least.

Interesting theories you can up with kenclops and danazar :D but, I think you guys are thinking quite a bit too much deeply for just a movie and BTW wait patently for Revolutions to answer or disprove your theories

I think the fastest that 1GB of RAM on a single DIMM is PCI2100 since it's more difficult to obtain good yields and inheirily more (much more) expensive to use high-density DDR SRAM chips for memory maunfacturers.

Hold on, :) Doom 3 is going to really stress out high-performance like original Quake did back in 1996. To play it respectful speed (30-40 fps) at 640x480 which was high res at the time you needed 3dfx Voodoo 1 and overwise else you stuck at 320x240 given you had a pentium which were expensive at th...

I just recently brought a AXP 2800+ Barton and later a ASUS A7N8X, I tried to run the new motherboard with the Barton but, no luck no POST, no video and tried all the RAM slots, I thought that the board was bad and yesterday I send the board to get RMA. I just wondering with my new system what memor...

I knew I should of gotten a 2400 T-bred well, I guess a ne0w MB is required I can go with Nforce 2 but, I needed a motheboard with space around the socket since I have a massive Alpha PAL8045 http://www.alphanovatech.com/c_pal8045e.html to cool my procs and prehaps some PCI2700 RAM while I'm at it t...

Re: What's the diff between barton and thoroughbred?

The Bartons cores have 512KB of L2 Cache which does increase performance sightly and therefore, increases it's points by few hundred over a Throughbred core of the same clock speed
