Re: Help to choose a Gaming PC!

Stay away from the Small form factor systems and get mATX or a ATX sized motherboard. If you cannot build it yourself or want a warranty the Ibuypower and cyberpower allow you to do custom builds that allow you to pick the case , MB everything and it will only cost around 100$ more than building it ...

I suggest vacuuming the motherboard with the brush attachment on while its running since all that air rushing by the bristles creates lotsa static electricity and more people than I like to admit vacuum their towers and get away with it by pure luck I think.

You are absolutely correct JBI I am still praying that zen is within 5% of a comparable Intel CPU and lets pray the 16nm process from TMSC if it is used over samsungs 14nm since I think the slightly larger 16nm will overclock better and run at lower temps IMHO. He ended up getting a open box ASUS tower with 8gb of ram for 349$ that has a skylake i5 6400 in it so considering a OS alone is around 100$ I think that is a crazy awesome deal.....consider this case closed unless others have stuff to add.

Thanks for the replies, Cheers

The Graphins cqard will not display anything...hye said it sorta loads the windows screen and then lock and asks to get into the BIOS but it will not do anything. I also told him to disable the IGP and if he has the option to select primary graphics as PCIE. Also he had a HD7750 card in it before hand

That decrease is tiny and I wonder how many times they tested each setting of 2/4/6/+HT because that result is within a margin of possible different factors that did not occur during other tests. The Voyager mission lasted much longer then anyone expected it to do. Not really, the probe is powered by first generation RTGs combined by the fact that its most of its electronics don't require much electricity to operate. Voyagers are almost out of juice at this point. When Voyager left our know...

I have to say I would be very tempted if I had the money for a skylake build to get this Super Micro build for my gaming rig. I really like it's sorta minimalist design without any extra sata connectors or stuff like that...twin Intel nics and looks like a 8+1 power system. http://www.anandtech.com/...

Too bad it does not have double the 5775's eDRAM..but since it is a 8 core die I wonder if they will space out the active cores or just use the cores that reach 5.1ghz.
