Re: STAR WARS TIME!

Reading the metacritic reviews, they often agree. I am doing a first in my life, and not going to see it in the theater.

Ben betrays Snoke because he wants to tango with Rey). Can you blame him? Went to Metacritic and I see many reviews which are excoriating the movie and many 10's as well. It seems people are very split on how good it is. I'll go see it but I'm not in a hurry. My wife and I can't find good sitte...

Re: STAR WARS TIME!

Rotten Tomatoes 95% - I am not sure I see eye to eye with the critics these days. Disney can buy them too, right?

They only gave Rogue One an 85% which was one of the best SW movie of all. They gave Force Awakens a 93...yeah, they don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Whatever the cause, it was not done well. Not enough material for 3 movies, or probably even 2.

LotR TV show on Amazon

When you have stupid amounts of money you can do stupid things. Amazon threw down 250 million for the rights to Tolkien stories. I've read several articles and the most astonishing thing to me is: it looks like the actual books, the Silmarillion, the Unfinished Tales, are not included. This show is ...

What crazy changes will the next CIO want to implement to make their mark? *shudder*

Why is it "worth" $13,000? It has gained $3500 in a week. Seems bubbletastic to me.

And yet the BTC price is over 13000.

My kids love bubbles at bathtime.

Clicking on the chart link though, I can't tell what this is showing. Looks like a 61 million balance still. Not sure how to read it.

Starbucks double espresso for when I have to work 10PM to 7AM shift. Luckily, for cost reasons, it's only once every couple months I have to do that.

More bad news for Sears and Kmart. The one that's been in my parents' neighborhood for like 30 years is closing. No Sears profit since 2010. The company expects to lose $525 million to $595 million this quarter, which would be an improvement from last year. http://money.cnn.com/2017/11/08/investing/...

Your VP is wrong. Part of the whole point of having a QA team is that you have people who are proficient at creating and executing test plans. Unit testing should obviously catch flagrant errors, but all he's doing is heaping a ton of unneeded stress on his developers. Of course I agree 100%. Among...

Just a rant thread about work. I'm sure others have difficult bosses as well. 1) QA defects - our VP got in a swivet that QA defects cost more money than if they are caught by unit testing! Every year, they try to reduce how many QA defects we can have. It's now down to 1 *ONE* per developer per yea...
