Re: Streaming frustrations

I'd get a Chromecast Ultra, the wall charger part has an ethernet port built in. Only the thin grey cable goes to the Chromecast. Or if you have a Chromecast, buy an Ethernet Adapter for Chromecast for $15 from Google. (Same thing included with Chromecast Ultra.) http://i.imgur.com/iMlQzA6.jpg?1

I have yet to see a single multi-monitor setup used where all the monitors were lined up evenly. The non-main focus monitors are all angled to allow them to be centered and perpendicular to you when you turn your head to view them. I found with 39" 4k monitor that i had to be a lot further back...

Definitely get a SFX and not SFX-L or ATX power supply if you can, if you're inclined to smaller ITX builds. I'm extremely happy with my SFX Corsair SF450 inside Sugo SG13B. Reminder, a normal 7700/1080 ti build can fit comfortably in 450Watts. FYI, SF450 is 80 Plus Gold rated , so lazy math, it giv...

Just because a thread is active, doesnt mean its doing useful work. It could be poorly written code thats keeping it awake but not doing anything significant. Re: Xbox One S, and Microsoft Teases Project Scorpio for 2017

The PS4 does OK with 1080p-ish level content. The PS4 Pro should bring that to good level. The XX from specs should be good+ for 1080p. But than there is reality. The XO/S and XX are different designs, need total re-qualification of game to ensure no defects. The PS4 Pro can be treated as just more ...

whm1974 is talking about image quality/fidelity. The image detail/quality shown in an actual real life picture on a 1080p screen is still many miles away from what even the 1080 ti can provide (in a game/3D environment, not still picture rendering). Technically, you take any already made 1080p game,...

The math is pretty bad. Six months of mining is likely equal to 3-5 years of active gaming. 24x30 is 720 5x30 is 150, or very close to 1/5. Which likely only a miniscule number could even maintain over 6 months versus a month or two. I would not touch a used card this coming holiday season. Just a n...

While they fail on execution too much (NUCs are too noisy, 600p m.2 drive is just total fail as an SSD, new Intel drivers ship too buggy) they are hitting actual market needs. Just big failures on execution. Remember, everything they make has to have a ridiculous margin per Wall Street expectations ...

I dunno if that's quiet right. The PS4 has much larger market share because of major miss steps on MS's part. As an over reaction, every single facet on the Xbox One X is better/bigger than PS4 Pro. More RAM, more CUs, higher CPU hertz, higher CU hertz, UHD blu-ray player,... if reports are correct....

Have your researched dual card setup? No one recommends it anymore. Unless you have a specific app in mind that specifically has support for it. GTX 1070 for around $400? GTX 1080 is easily 30% better than 1070, $400 + 30% is $520. You can easily get GTX 1080 for $500. Save money wasted on new fans ...
