I honestly don't see what everyone issue is. My biggest response is this is change. Life is change. Get over it and move on. The plants I support are slowly all moving to windows 10 and that is just the way it is. I have it on ALL of my machines at home including the ones the family uses and it is ...

There haven't been major deal breaking issues since launch day. /signed, Linux user, Mac user, and Windows user Currently as far as Windows games goes, SteamPlay(Proton) does play a good number of them on Linux. Not really, no. Not enough to ever be any affect at all on the taste, your health, or anything. This is a common Industrial Process to extract more oil from pressed oilseeds. Also salt was used as a fertilizer in SMALL AMOUNTS. If you use too much you kill the plants. If the land was barren from over use but still in decent shape you could help the land. (My mom studies the bible and ancient history a lot.) I did read something like that, but I have a hard time acceptin...

Re: Roasted peanut oil. Anyone cook with/or use it?

I think I'll just stick to unrefined peanut oil for any frying and keep the Roasted for flavoring. Unrefined peanut oil is not the same thing as unroasted peanut oil. Unrefined peanut oil still contains peanut compounds besides oil, and has a lower smoke point. Like roasted peanut oil, it is genera...

Re: Roasted peanut oil. Anyone cook with/or use it?

Roasted sesame oil has a very strong flavor which can overpower anything cooked with it unless it is used sparingly. Frying something in it would leave the food tasting like roasted sesame oil and little else. I don't see why you couldn't bake with roasted oils, as the amount of oil used in baked g...

Re: Roasted peanut oil. Anyone cook with/or use it?

I'm not familiar with roasted peanut oil, but if it is anything like roasted sesame oil you don't want to fry with it. Roasted sesame oil is used more like a condiment, in small amounts. It would be overpowering (not to mention expensive) if used for frying. Regular (not roasted) peanut oil is exce...

Roasted peanut oil. Anyone cook with/or use it?

I was thinking of buying some unrefined peanut oil for frying earlier today around noon or so, but soon learned that the stuff with the most flavor is Roasted. The word "salary" has Latin roots. Roman soldiers were paid partially in salt. In Latin, salt is "sal". So, we're all still working for salt.

It was, but not on the scale you're thinking... There were some rare examples of land owned by specific people or families being salted to the point where it might have made the land unusable for a while - typically traitors or enemy leaders - and this would usually be followed by executions and th...

Salting the Earth, was this actually done?

Due to another poster mentioning this in a different Thread, I wanted to have a talk about this. I heard this phrase back when I was kid. Well I fried some canned corn beef hash in a pan with a small onion, a pat of butter, some seasoning and Tabasco sauce, and a can of mushrooms. Much better then microwaving this stuff. Yeah, it's always better cooked on the stove. The Maillard reaction makes food extra delicious! Personally I would...

Considering that Steam does has actual free games, it doesn't even make sense to anyone to pay Microsoft for these types of casual games anyway. Plenty of people don't have Steam, and don't think of themselves as gamers (or even think playing PC games is a silly waste of time) but still play Minesw...
