I use FreshDownload (which is free and spyware/adware free) for those times I need a download accelerator. I usually use it when I'm downloading a large number of files off a website. Most servers will only allow you to have two connections at once. I can just queue up the files I want and it'll aut...

Defragmenting is fairly stressful, but I'd imagine the overall stress of running a highly fragmented drive is much worse than defragmenting it regularly. Once you defragment a file, it'll generally stay defragmented (unless it's a file you change regularly).

I'm still scraping by the old razor sharp can lid way. What's the best way to make the big bucks in the game? Is it cooking up high dollar stuff like hell ramen and then selling it?

I've got a Phillips player I picked up at BB for $70 or so, and KVCD/KSVCD work great with it. They don't work at all on my older Sony player in the bed room though :( The Phillips can play MPEG files you burn onto a CD as normal files, which is pretty handy. I wish someone would come up with someth...

Be sure to take a look at the KVCD / KSVCD formats. I don't know the specifics of how it works, but they are modifications to the VCD and SVCD formats which allow to you fit better quality video into a smaller amount of space (at the expense of compatability with some standalone players). You can fi...

I was pretty interested in the P160 when reading the reviews online, but when I went to Frys to look at it in person the front panel looked pretty cheap. I wish they would have used actual metal for some of the parts instead of painted plastic bits which, IMO, are kinda gaudy looking. Still, it's a ...

I wish for small items like that, they would just throw it in a reinforced envelope, charge you $0.50 for postage and materials, and send by first class mail.

I haven't seen any big places do this though. Maybe it's against USPS rules to send anything besides letters in envelopes like that.

Are Durons multiplier locked? If so, it shouldn't matter that the motherboard only supports up to a 10x multiplier. Since the CPU is going to run at 13x regardless of what the motherboard tells it, it's going to run at 1300MHz. Before I upgraded, I was running a Celeron 1.1GHz on my Abit BH6 which o...

If there's a burner AND a hard drive, you probably want the hard drive to be master and the CD burne...

You can use CPU-Z or "General" tab under System Properties to see what MHz your CPU is running at. If nothing CPU intensive is running, it should say 1000MHz for Newcastle processors and 800MHz for Clawhammer processors if CnQ is working right.
