I voted for more memory but I also need a new video card as well. I am still stuck with an ageing Geforce2 Pro.

You can find the number of users on Stanfords Folding at Home 'stats' page. As for amount of electricity used, maybe you should check http://www.silentpcreview.com I am sure I have seen something to that effect mentoned in their forums.

Athlon64 DDR2 support?

Does anyone know how soon AMD plans to support higher FSB's and DDR2?

I don't wan't to buy ram now only to find its made obsolete tomorrow by DDR2 boards. I would rather hold off in that case and wait for DDR2 to go mainstreme.

Ramdrive for F@H?

Would placing the F@H client on a Ramdrive provide any significant boost to production?

Upgrading your vid card can't hurt, but you will always be bottlenecked by the processor.

If you are serious about gaming you probably need to get a new system. But then you need money to burn.

What are you doing to make it hurt... do you lean on it or something weird?

Maybe its some sort of repetitive strain like tennis elbow. Go see the doc and get it sorted. In my experience an injury caused by strain can only get worse.

I currently have a 3M mousing pad and it is super thin, I could just buy another one but they tend to scratch over time.

can someone reccomend a gaming mouse pad

Its time to replace my mousing surface but I really want something that sits low to the desk. I can't stand the way some mouse pads sit quite tall.

Can somone suggest a reasonably priced mouse pad that is pro for gaming?

I believe the development of AtheOS has ceased, that might explain why the site doesn't work.

AtheOS has been continued by other developers under the name Syllable. You can find a link here http://syllable.sourceforge.net/
