Re: Anyone else playing Dead Maze?

Any Free to Play games that are not Pay To Win? Well you have to define what you mean by Pay to Win. By Glorious' strict standards, a game I play called Seaport on my phone is still Pay to Win. But my game experience is not impinged in any way if someone has better ships than me. I was stupid enoug...

Re: Anyone else playing Dead Maze?

Pay to win of any type is cancer to a game. It is, it has been getting so prevalent. They are playing the lottery of hooking addictive personality whales. When they can make so much more money this way, no wonder the games are everywhere. I am not saying the whales have no responsibility, they do. ...

Re: Anyone else playing Dead Maze?

I would try if I could find more time.

I downloaded that other F2P that someone mentioned on Steam and it's been sitting there for months.

Playing Disgaea and Hearthstone is all I can keep up with, maybe 1 hr/day.

All of the Applebees near me have closed within the past few years... and nothing of value was lost (unless you're really into $2 Long Islands, I guess). I eventually expect them to go the way of Bennigan's. Trivia: The chain was acquired by IHOP about a decade ago. Guess that's not working out too...

End of an Era - Toys R Us

http://money.cnn.com/2018/03/15/news/companies/toys-r-us-closing-blame/index.html It looks like all stores will close. I have a lot of fond memories of the local TRU as a kid. They always had good Lego selection, or GI Joe, even Commodore 64 video games. When I was a kid, my dad let us pick either t...

Re: Legendary Fantasy and Scifi Author Ursula Leguin passed away.

I read a few of her short stories in anthologies and wasn't overly impressed.

Questioning gender in the late 60's must have made her a living saint to Leftist circles.

Edit: I read “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas," probably in high school. That was a really good short story.

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

Star Wars is better classified as science fantasy. Always has been. Star Trek is a truer science fiction franchise. Fine job ignoring his point that fantasies also have to have rules. All the drama by we, the nerds, does not matter to Disney. The movie is already #9 on the world charts: http://www....

A FTL missile would make the Death Star obsolete - and "canon" examples exist that make the DS look silly: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sun_Crusher Not canon any longer. I'll probably check out Solo a Star Wars story just to watch the Khaleesi. I feel there is no shame in admitting it. ...

Well, since so many folks here seem to share this sentiment, here's a question: If folks like Ep4, 5, and 6 but loathe Ep1, 2, and 3, and don't like Ep7 and 8 to varying degrees, at what point does Star Wars just become bad? Bad as in, "that's a bad fictional universe and not worth my time&quo...

For some unknown reason, running it in compatibility mode worked today.

HR Block 2017 sucks

I've been using HR Block tax software for 10+ years. It used to be called TaxCut. This year, they sent out flash drives with the software. I thought this was a good idea since I use it anyway. However, it won't install. It throws a "date mismatch" error. I tried from the flash drive and co...

Well that's star wars in a nutshell, I didn't make nor would defend the writing or logic in it. Some are still better written than others. Starkiller base was a planet.
