Does SLI even support multiple monitors? I thought I read somewhere when SLI is enabled dual displays (or 4 in this case) isn't available.? I'd kind of assumed that if you don't connect the little bridge to the cards that they'd run independantly, so you wouldn' thave SLI but you'd have multi monit...

I suggest you start a "Save-rogue426-files@HOME" distributed application. Besides its Microsoft encryption, how good could it be :D Apparently good enough since I can't access them. It's been over a year since they were encrypted. I'm lucky enough to recall my own name, much less a key for an encryp...

I'm assuming when I get the PSU RMA'd from Antec and get another mobo and put it back as the boot drive I'l be able to access the folder...

Yes ,you would think that I'd be smart enough to know what I'm doing huh?
The files are on an extended partition of a drive that the Windows tree has long since been deleted. So the certificate I'm sure is long gone too.

I've got a CoolerMaster Cavalier .
It's nice looking,has a 120 exhaust fan,
80 intake fan, is tooless with a side window.
It cost me 50 bucks at SVC.com.
It was a special deal though.
I have a dual P3 setup in it and ambient temp
is usually 73 farenheit.

"CaptainCruise" OK, so if I go with 4x512MB of PC3200, it'll run at 400Mhz in dual channel mode but not at the factory timings which for this model of Corsair RAM is 2-2-2-5-1T. It'll run at 2-2-2-5-2T.....that sound about right? And there is no way around this except for running 2 sticks of 1GB RAM...

The ram wont run in dual channel mode with 3 sticks.
They have to be installed in pairs to run dual channel.
The new cores for AMD's have a revised memory controller which doesnt default to 333mhz speeds when all 4 memory slots are occupied,it will stay at 400 mhz.

Just another thought,
Why go with the Rartors?
There expensive and small .
Maxtor makes a bigger drive now thats
just as fast as the Raptor and has 3 times the capacity.
I still think I'd go with 2 gb of ram.

A couple of questions.
One ,why not a dual core X2?
In the long run you'd have more longevity
and smoothness while multi-tasking.
Why the ATI card, already previous generation.
Nvidia 7800 GT looks to be a much better card
and probably close in price.
I might consider 2 gb of ram also.

2.58$ unleaded
2.87$ premium
Gas has gone up .14 a gallon here in western NC this week alone.
If it goes up much more I'll be working to pay for my gas and child care expenses alone.
