Re: Card for SFF

If you're intending to use it for gaming, the GT1030 is very bad.
GTX1650 with GDDR6 is slightly better than GTX1650 with GDDR5. Both are significantly better than GTX1050Ti, which is much much better than GT1030.

Re: Card for SFF

There do not appear to be many options that fit your low profile case . $160 (about 12000 INR) Gigabyte GV-N1656OC-4GL GeForce GTX 1650 D6 OC Low Profile 4G is the best of the GTX1650 cards, since it uses DDR6 vs. DDR5. It also has a better array of output ports than some of the other cards in this ...

Re: Thunderbolt in ASUS ROG Strix B550-F???

You could ask Asus.

This review ranks the Gigabyte GC-Titan Ridge card as #1. It's $99 at Amazon.

If this is something that you're actually willing to spend money on, Amazon's return policies are generous. What is it about Thunderbolt that you want or need?

Re: Thunderbolt in ASUS ROG Strix B550-F???

Asus calls it the ThunderboltEX 3. It's $66 at Amazon.

Do you need to be using an APU with integrated graphics to do video over Thunderbolt?. I do this between my work laptop and my monitor.

Re: i5-4590 sufficient?

Core i5-4590 is pretty long in the tooth these days, but at 1440p resolution, your graphics card is the bigger bottleneck. I'm trying to wait until the 4th quarter of this year to upgrade my graphics card. We'll be getting new GPU generations from both suppliers. AMD will offer us their first ray-tr...

Direct-view TVs are very bright and can be pretty big these days. Taking a quick peek at Amazon and BHphotovideo.com... At 8K resolution, 75" starts at $3.0K. 82" goes for $5.7K. 98" is $60K. At 4K resolution, 75" starts at a ridiculously low $0.7K. 82" goes for $1.7K. 86&qu...

Re: Audioengine 5+ speakers onboard analog ok?

Listening to the Audioengine HD3 speakers by themselves, my response was "Wow! That's impressive for such small drivers." Adding the S8 sub takes them to "OMG! That's awesome!". I'd expect that any sub would help, since the Audioengine stuff seems to be a bit on the pricey side. ...

Re: Audioengine 5+ speakers onboard analog ok?

Sure, the HD3 speakers will play audio from both the PC (via USB) and the phone (via Bluetooth) at the same time. I don't regard that as a problem. Both of those devices have controls to stop whatever's making noise, or mute the volume or switch to a different audio output. While the sound that you ...

I have the Audioengine HD3 set on my desktop. They sound awesome when paired with the S8 subwoofer. They're connected to my desktop via USB, but the bluetooth works fine with my phone.
