For Those RRODs 360 Owners...

How did you guys initiate the RMA to Microsoft? Did you call tech support or did you use the automated repair website?

I have had about 4 2407wfps and 2 2407wfp-hcs trying to get one that doesn't have severe ghosting but eventually gave up. There is this very weird green ghosting that you get when things are in motion, check for videos of it on YouTube. I still have mine, but might sell it and get something else. T...

I think that was a typo by FF, LCD = LED Thanks. It was indeed a typo. Is there an advantage to using LED backlights aside from ahieving a slimmer profile? Which is why they're being used in laptops. I could imagine how they can turn off LEDs selectively to improve dynamic contrast (I rememb...

So the 2407fpw-HC models with 92% NTSC gamut are LED-backlit? Or are they still using the older backlighting?

So if I get a panel with a LTM240M2 panel, does it mean it's even better than the 2407fpw-HC? (I know the 2407fpw are essentially repackaged Samsungs) BTW - in this review it says both the 2407fpw and the 244T are the same panels http://www.behardware.com/articles/629-1/24-inches-the-dell-2407wfp-vs...

Wow - I guess 2407fpw-HC is the winner... I am still waiting for them to go down even more - with 24-LCDs below $300 during Black Friday, I'm still having a hard time swallowing $600 for a monitor...

I'm sitting in front of one right now. I'm giving serious thought to adding a 2407WFP-HC to my desk as well - these are truly great monitors. They're not the best for gaming, but they're good enough that it hasn't yet bothered me. I'm not some kind of crazy gaming elitist anyway, I (gasp, shock, ho...

After doing some reading I found the 2407fpw-HC REV A00 has a ton of problems (overdrive ghosting, colorshifting, etc...) I wonder if Dell has made any newer hardware revisions to correct them as they did with the non-HC models (A01, A02, A03, and A04)?

I seem to find Samsung products everywhere these days from cellphones to LCDs to HDTVs... I've never seen such product propagation since Sony's Walkman era back in the 80's...

DX10-Base: The Shortest DX Lifespan of Them All?

DX 9.0c seemed to have been around for years, but just when DX10 came out, DX10.1 is now on the brink of appearance (ATI R3XXX, GeForce 9xxx)... Considering Vista launched about a year ago, and DX10-adoption has not been so-up to par, this has got to be the shortest DX-lifespan of them all... I wond...

The Holy Grail of Crysis?

Currently the 8800GTX and 2900XT are both getting pulverized with Crysis at Very-High Settings (DX10-mode). I'm not getting a card until that can be run at 1920x1200 as smooth as butter with max settings, but I wonder how long that will be... Any thoughts?

It's kind of interesting that the 8800GT is using the G92-core, but still relegated to the 8xxx moniker... The 9xxx are suppose to have the G92-core standard right?

It kinda makes you wonder. When will it stop? There has to be a limit on performance at some point in time. When will we reach that limit? Or, if not one on performance, there at least has to be a limit on just how real you can make a 3D game look. Once it looks exactly like real life... whats next...
