Scott just built a Skylake-powered version of his Damagebox in collaboration with Asus, Cooler Master, HyperX, and Western Digital—and we're giving it away.



To win this PC, you'll need to create an amusing comic related to the world of technology, hardware, or PC gaming. Artistic skills are not a prerequisite to win, but your work does need to be good enough to communicate your punchline effectively.

To let folks' creative flags fly, we aren't placing any stipulations on medium or length, but your final product must be an original work (not just a Photoshop of some other creator's comic) and cannot involve commentary on politics or religion. Remember that brevity is the soul of wit, too. For inspiration, check out this Fred Silver masterpiece, or browse our entire comic archive. Please post your completed entry in this thread—only one per person, please.

Sorry, but this contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec) only.

Only one entry is allowed per person.

We will be accepting giveaway entries until Monday, November 16, 2015 at 12:00 PM Central Time, at which point this thread will be locked. TR staffers will then confer and select a winner from among all eligible entries. The winner will be announced on the site no later than Tuesday, November 17, 2015, and will also be notified via private message in the forums. The winner must claim his prize within 72 hours, or he will forfeit his prize and we will name a new winner.

We reserve the right to disqualify an entry for any reason, at any time. The staff of The Tech Report and their immediate families may not enter the giveaway and are not eligible to win.

No purchase is necessary. This giveaway is void where prohibited by law. Hi is this verizon support........Why yes it is, What can I help you with?
Your service blew out 3 of my TV's that were being watched by 3 different people in 3 different rooms.
Verizon support: Wow I never heard of that let me put you on hold so I can act like I am trying to fix your problem...after waiting Verizon support asks Do the Cable boxes work?
I reply I do not know the TV are broken now and I repeat all at the same time. VZ...let me put you on hold "ungodly hold music blares as 10 minutes goes by and the VZ tech gets back on the line...A supervisor will be calling you within 48hrs.
48hrs passes and I call back and I can just copy and paste the above since that is the same identical responses from tech support I got with my 1st call with the final tech saying a supervisor will call you within 48hrs. ARRRG
The 3rd call goes pretty much the same after they sent out a tech who removed 2 boxes and a burned up HDMI cable and he told me the so call supervisor wanted the tech to take pictures of the equipment and send them to him and now the service tech tell me a supervisor will be calling within 24hrs.
24hrs goes by and I call again this time I get someone who say supervisor do not call customers you need to talk to a foreman...at this point I am loading my 30-06 and 12 guage 3" magnum slug gun and getting ready to go postal on every verizon box on every telephone pole in my neighborhood.
A week ago I talked to someone who asked was my financial loss was around 1500$ and I said that is correct and he said he was starting a claim.
A week has gone by and I am going to call again tomorrow but I feel this sick joke will just go on and on so I might keep updating it but at this point I am so disgusted with verizon my blood pressure is probably 250 over 150 just thinking about it so keep in mind winning a new skylake system might keep my heart from failing, plus i could really use it anyways:) yes I had to force that smile just thinking about how verizon has treated us.
Gluck to all but I am sure many have gone through Verizon support and feel my frustration just add about the best plasma TV money could buy a Panasonic VT30 55"3d tv and a 47"LCD along with a 19"LCD TV biting the dust because of them to your frustration
EDIT: Well at least this sick joke has a happy ending After 3 more calls finally a guy brial called and asked how I was doing..I wanted to freak out but I held my tongue and he said what are the models of the Tv's you lost in this incident? I went through the list of the 3 TV's and he quickly said I can have a 1500$ check sent out to you in a few days. Phwew!!! I said thank you very much Brian you have no idea how many calls I have made to you all there at verizon and he clearly admitted that a bad cable box can feedback through your house, he said it was rare but it does happen.
I am still going to need that new skylake rig I really deserve it in a big way and I would be happy to donate one of my i3 2120 HTPC's after receiving the Skylake rig...I will even blow the dust out of it for you guys and you can give that away also:) So happy we are getting all our money back I put on my bestbuy credit card so I can pay it off.

Hi, i follow techreport a few years but never bothered to write. I would pay taxes and shipement cost but i cant win because i am from Europe .
