My friend and I are showing up on motorcycles. I think we could pitch in some cash towards something.

On that note, has there been any news from Shoes after his favorite fireworks store done blowed up?

Yeah, we're still getting them from the same guy, just from his garage instead of his store. Poor guy.

I'm debating opening up the beach WiFi to the public just for that reason. I have no idea what might be out there though, I bet not a lot unless we try to attract some.

Need sodas? I could hit a Costco on my drive up and get a few cases of cans.

Sodas are always welcome, as is water, we always seem to run out of plain bottled water.

About to send out PMs to everyone, please read it thoroughly. :)

Edit: PMs sent. If you didn't get one and you are planning on coming, let me know and I will send you the details.

FYI, yesterday out at the lake was perfect weather, calm, water was almost 70 degrees. Today started out a little cool, then got nice for a bit, but it's windy and the lake is pretty rough, still nice though.

For those that didn't know, you can watch a 24/7 live stream of the state park a couple miles down from the cottage, here.

I just hope that the hangover of the Republican Convention has cleared out before I need to drive through Cleveland on Friday July 22. Didn't give it a thought until just now (going through my blogs) and being relieved to find it officially ends on Thursday.

This trip will be an experiment. My (who are we kidding, it belongs to SWMBO) Garmin does not have traffic data, Add to that the fact that Garmin routes tend to favor vehicles whose wheel counts are well into the double digits and I'm going to give the Nexus 6P a whirl as the navigator on this trip. I know the way (if I drive somewhere but once, it's permanently in my mental GPS), but it'll be interesting to see how Google Nav differs from Garmin Nav. With luck a 1800ma car charger will be enough to keep it running throughout the drives.

Love the shirts! Unfortunately, with my surgery and me not getting paid while I'm off, we could only get one for FroBozz. The purple is sweet! Can't wait to see everyone Saturday!

Oh dear, now there are at least 500,000 Harley bikers congregating in Cleveland for the RNC. Guess I need to plan a route from Erie PA to Holland MI that doesn't include Cleveland.

I hear ya. I'm at the cottage now, probably brought 3 or 4 car loads of stuff out so far. A lot of the things I can't setup until Saturday AM so it's just stockpiling time. All the big stuff is ready, there's just a ton of little details and finishing touches that stress me out.

Stacy's family is out here this week too, it's awesome but it is also chaotic, not my usually pre-BBQ process for sure, but things are getting done. It's just, a lot of the stuff that I could normally prepare, I can't leave out for kids to have a chance as messing up. I need to figure out how to relax...

I'm also watching the weather like crazy. The forecast is changing all the time obviously but this is making me nervous:

Fish, I will be there.

Is there anything else you need? I know I usually bring hot dogs, buns, and chips for night-time with the campfire, but zgirl may have it covered, and I can always provide other compensation. PM me and let me know, eh?

Looks like we need condiments, and maybe some fruit and veggie options.

Also, it looks like it's going to be a HOT one, please, everyone bring some extra water. :o

Speaking of the heat, everyone please consider bringing an extra cooler if you can, so we can keep more stuff cold.

Fish, I'll be on the phone via voice and text on the way in, bring the last minute stuff as usual.
I'll PM you my number again. I will be sure to grab water, and if I can find my big cooler, I'll pick up some veggie trays when I get close, but again, veggies in the heat wont last long.
We need a coolers for stuff. I can grab condiments too.

SUCCESS!! Rib prep has been completed. I have some shopping and packing tonight but I should be good to go by morning. I'll try to post pictures just as soon as I can find a new host. Looks like my old one is gone.

Also, my cooler gets emptied tonight. I am more than happy to store other things in it for the day. Nifty things like ice, water, ice, soda, more ice, sports drinks, and did I mention ice?
