It is, in a way. That youtube video is only 5 min long. You could watch it if you had some time to kill. But telling yourself, "I will not watch garbage" without really knowing if it IS garbage takes self-control. In a typical person, the brain would be going like, "Hey. What if it isn't garbage? Maybe I'm missing something by not watching it. Oh what the heck. Let's waste just 5 min on what could be garbage".

But see, I don't want to.

I really don't understand why this is so hard for you to grasp.

You think AI is infallible? I think there are a number of dead Tesla Autopilot (mis)users who would disagree with you.

Also, if the sort of web sites you seem to frequent is any indication, I am not at all surprised that a Google AI might think an e-mail newsletter you've subscribed to is spam.

It's a tech website newsletter. Nothing to do with the stuff I am infamous for. The AI algorithm is crap. Their lead AI researcher should hang his head in shame.

Fortunes have been made by many unscrupulous people who built an entire sleazy industry around fooling Google's AIs into generating false results.

At the end of last week I had pizza. :P

Since flour is difficult to find at the moment, I bought some whole wheat berries from Bezos and ground them up in the Vitamix. I thought it might be lumpy or something, but t worked pretty well. The flour was maybe a bit coarser than the store bought stuff, but I'm not sure I would have noticed the difference otherwise. I often use mostly whole grain flour when making pizza dough anyway, so I'm almost sure I wouldn't have noticed in the finished product if I hadn't made it myself. I still have a little bit left over, and I'm thinking whole grain cookies sound pretty good also. :P

I have all of the ingredients for my favorite cookies, but I wouldn't bake up five dozen cookies for myself. I usually make them for my co-workers.

Since it appears that I'll be required to quit working from home at the end of this week, maybe I'll bake a batch over the weekend and bring them in next week.

It's kinda weird reading about techies baking and cooking stuff. Don't you lament the time lost in these activities that could otherwise be used for more tech-related hobbies? And if you are doing the kitchen stuff, what do your wives/gfs do? Wash the dishes?

Proof positive that you're an AI. You comprehend machines, but not food. Slam dunk case.

Man does not live for tech alone. I cook (and brew beer) because I like creating things that taste good that I can shove in my face.

On a more pragmatic level, it is generally more economical and healthier than eating restaurant food or pre-packaged foods.

We trade off. If she cooks, I do the dishes. If I cook, she does the dishes.

That was the original deal. She now says "Pray I don't alter it any further".

I suspect I would have the upper hand if faced with that situation. Waking up to a sink full of dirty dishes in the morning bugs her a lot more than it does me.

Mine asked me for a new watch for Mother's Day. I told her there was no need, as there's a clock on the stove.

Either you're joking, or you had the foresight to stash a laptop in the doghouse. I'm not sure which one of those I want to be true.

I say we feed Igor Winograd Schema Challenges and see if it can determine the meaning of pronouns such as "it" or "they" in appropriate context. It certainly does seem to lacking common sense.

I don't think what we've seen so far qualifies as "slow", but I suppose a troll may in fact be easier to emulate than a decent person. Some of the most successful chatbots have been a bit trollish. That's not altogether encouraging.
