I stay in Turkey as a soldier. I see your sent . Turkey is now complicated, lots of problem here about politics. A lot of illegal organizations are acting . They use interesting softwares too. Firstly if you try your software here , you have to open legal office here. Twitter, facebook yesterday have been blocked. Because they havent office in Turkey. Some terrorist groups arrested because of using "Bylock" cryptic software. If you try your software over someone maybe he will arrasted. These days are badly times.

Not entirely true. Semi accurate to say the least. But again, it's all about politics, corruption and struggle to get ultimate control and power, so there will numerous variations of the same lie and never the truth...
At this point, who is terrorist and who is not is not clear at all. I'd say every human or organization that violates human rights is a terrorist which makes almost all governments of the earth terrorists.USA spies on their citizens and violating not only their constitutional rights but also human rights, while in Turkey censorship and illegal arrests takes this a bit further.
Darkmage, Social Media is not reachable without VPN right now. During Friday and Saturday at some point, VPN's are also blocked. While the situation varies from ISP to ISP, general condition of the well known social media platforms like facebook, twitter, youtube, twitch etc is slowed down.
There is terrorist activity on the cities near syria and Iraq and as Turkey is in a state of emergency state, all internet connection of those cities are cut off to prevent terrorists comms (doh).
A major ISP, Kablonet, which is the largest cable internet provider, capped all connection speeds to 1.44 mbits on friday (they offer 25-50-100 mbits) for a reason they do not want to explain. Their official statement is "it's not originating from us, we are inspecting".
I'm about to get a digital ocean account and build openvpn on a VPS machine... Just to **** read non sense posts and cat videos on fb :\
