Excellent, sounds good!

I'd been interested in previous years, but we lived far away. About a year ago, we moved to MI, so it makes sense now. See you all there.

I believe I still have a video of one of the later BBQs (not taken by me, but IIRC I hosted it for a while). Will see if I can find it.

I cant find my video from 2004, and I think it is because I shot it on MicroDV tape, and cant remember if I burned it to a disk.
However, I did find a few more videos and photos from 2004 (BBQ I) and 2005 (BBQ II).

These should provide good entertainment :)

Do we have enough people interested in buying, selling or trading hardware and gadgets at the BBQ to make its own thread in the Bargain Basement?
I have a lot of stuff to bring, and a few things I would not mind pick up, and was wondering if we should have a thread.

I hate lugging stuff to the BBQ if no one wants anything, has nothing to trade, has no cash, etc... :)

If we have enough interest, I'd like to get a thread going this last week or so, so we can see who has what to bring or who is looking for stuff.

Here's a scary exe that Windows/your browser won't want you to run. However, you should run it if you want some practice at Cornhole Simulator before the BBQ. Pretty sure I'm going to get a 3rd set of trophies for a simulator tournament. :P

Okay. For Sale items I'm bringing in case anyone's interested (and wanted to know ahead of time). PM me with any questions.
Dposcorp, you know I always horse-trade too.

HP minitower, AMD A10-5700 quad-core, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, USB3, wireless networking, Windows 10
Gateway Minitower, Core i3-3220, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, USB3, Geforce GT 430, wireless networking, Windows 10
(2) Dell Optiplex 3010 desktops, Core i3 3220, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Windows 10
One or two small-form-factor desktops, Core i5-530 (Nehalem), various states (Intel mainboards, Windows COA keys)
Intel NUC Kit D54250WYK, Core i5-4250U, 8GB RAM, 256GB mSATA SSD, Intel 802.11ac wireless, box, VESA mount
Asrock N3700-ITX mini-ITX mainboard, Braswell N3700 quad-core onboard, 2x 2GB DDR3L SO-DIMMs for memory (perfect for NAS or mini-server/mini-system build
EVGA Geforce 750 Ti short-length card, 2GB DDR5, and maybe an LCD screen or two depending on space
EVGA 600w power supply, new-in-box
Some storage (two WD Green 2TB with the short idle turned off, a 128GB mSATA SSD, maybe another 2.5" 256GB SSD or two)
Miscellaneous CPUs (I probably have one i7-2600 in that mix, an i3 Sandy/Ivy or two, maybe a Q6600, oh, and a Skylake i3-6100)
I have some miscellaneous items I might throw in as a cheapie or freebie if you buy something else, like a Belkin 802.11ac router, a Dell Latitude D830 laptop or two, etc.

Fish, I'll plan on bringing some beverages like I usually do, some chips, hot dogs/buns for the evening. I'll probably bring a few beers for tasting purposes. And hey, if you can bring a "cat button" for Fractal Design cases, that'd be *huge*. Ours always seem to turn my wife's ARC Mini R2 off at the worst time.
i9-9900K @4.7GHz, GIGABYTE Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi, 2 x 16GB G.Skill RipJaws V PC3000
Corsair 650D, Seasonic 1Kw Platinum PSU

Done. I'll also be sending out the traditional PMs later today.

I don't have a ton of my old stuff to bring. Besides, I think I hit the weight limit just bringing my old CRT for Starfalcon. ;)

I also updated the first post with the same old parking rules. I'm going to call Kamp Kiwanis tomorrow just in case they'll let us park there again, but they have had a wedding or other event happening each of the last few years so I'm not counting on it. Please respect the parking rules, it is the biggest favor you can do for me on BBQ day. Like last year, I'll flag off the yard to make clear where the septic system is and where a few extra cars can park in the back yard of the back cottage.

Edit: PMs sent. If you didn't get one, and were expecting one, please let me know.

Ugh, that sucks. All the more so because Sheldon finally committed to being at the BBQ instead of going to his girlfriend's best friend's wedding a couple hours away. He's been vexed about that for months, but I was all like, "come on, do it for gleek!"

still in the works!!!! if the migration effort gets moved from this weekend to next monday, i'm golden! crossing my fingers for this to happen!

Hope everyone attending has safe travels and a fun time. I will be at home migrating code into prod and updating flowcharts all evening. Joy.

Since Frobozz_Inc has been busy job hunting, I thought I would let you know that he and I will be there Saturday and helping to clean up on Sunday. Amber will be having a sleepover at my brother's house so, she will not be attending. We will bring our corn hole set as well as chips and anything else I might grab. See everyone Saturday!

On the beer front, probably no (or very limited) homebrew this year, but I will bring an assortment of interesting (mostly local Illinois) craft brews.

Well, finally made it to Erie, PA after 10+ hours. Western New York, especially Buffalo, is a flash flood mess, causing several detours. At least I think I can avoid the main problem areas in Ohio (from the same storm) tomorrow.

For those that make a longer and more difficult trip, like Captain Ned or worse, thanks for the effort.

For those who have not come to one of these, you should try and make the trek at least once, and see how enjoyable it is to hang out with a bunch of random people once a year.

drfish, don't forget tomorrow's front page post.

Everyone else, last chance to ask me to bring something out of the ordinary to buy or trade for, like baseball cards or my air compressor, cause the mobile garage sale is almost packed :)
