First Bond film I ever saw in theaters was Moonraker... I loved it! His films were the campiest of the campiest, but have a special place in my heart.
A most unfortunate, Freudian, double entendre is that hotel named "Budget Inn."

I think that was Sean Connery's biggest critique of Moore as Bond. Essentially, that he didn't take the role seriously enough.

Everything I've ever read about Moore made him sound like a sweetheart. The only person I've ever seen him say a bad word against was his co-star in the Persuaders (still a great show). And chivalrous enough to not only support his replacement Ian Ogilvy in The Return of the Saint but when he made a recent pilot for the Saint also included him. At least Spy Who Loved Me wasn't too bad either (his best Bond imo).

Plus he was Patrick MacNee's best friend and the star of Ffolkes! I didn't much like his Bond but everything else he did was solid and he was a stand-up person. Something pretty rare these days.
I have nothing against humanity that thousands of years of nuclear winter won't take care of.
