Batman Ends

Adam West, dead at 88. Say what you want about the camp '60s version (I ate it up as a kid back then), but the guy always knew not to take himself too seriously.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

Yup, I grew up on that stuff too. End of an era.

Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb.

Opening credits from the original series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSaDPc1Cs5U
Or season 3, where they needed to squeeze in a credit for Batgirl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rebg5YfiBEI

Edit: ...and the "bomb" scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIPZROBiNik (from the original Batman movie)

Lots of fond memories of watching Adam West and Burt Ward thwart some truly legendary criminals. Farewell, Old Chum.

An NPR commentator opined that all the other Batmans should attend the funeral; in similar fashion to how Ex-Presidents attend presidential funerals.

He apparently recently got over oral cancer.

A fitting memorial.

The mayor also led the crowd in a rendition of Neal Hefti’s infectious “Batman Theme” from the show.
