Broken Newegg Links

Wed Sep 20, 2017 4:24 pm

Maybe it's just me, but I am unable to load any links to Newegg through this site.

In my forum thread "Custom Builders," Dpete27 posted: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=119828&start=34
Which includes an embedded link to: https://www.qksrv.net/links/1800524/typ ... 6824236717

But when I click that all I get is:

The same is true of links posted by TR staff. In your RX Vega 56 and 64 review, near the bottom of the Conclusions page, is the embedded link: http://www.qksrv.net/links/1800524/type ... 0ZW5F71608

But all I get is:

I have even tried manually using just the Newegg URL from the tail end of your links, and copying the URL Item code into Newegg's search box. Still no joy.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro. I have Kaspersky A/V and Privacy Badger installed, if that makes any difference. Can anyone help me get your links to work?

First link works fine for me, 2nd one does indeed seem to be broken. Based on the message you were seeing, it looks like a temporary problem on Newegg's end.

Yeah, the one from the Vega review is

http://www.qksrv.net/links/1800524/type/am/https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ZW5F71608

which doesn't seem to work. Maybe Newegg changed the product ID. Not really sure what product TR was linking to. Best guess is this one.

The images you posted make it seem like the Newegg DB was having an issue looking stuff up rather than the actual links being bad. The first link you posted above works fine for me.

Thankfully, we can say "not our problem"

It's a combination of two things. First, Newegg was apparently having some site issues today, which led to the error messages above. Clicking on link #1 is fine now. Then, the monitor we had linked to at the end of the RX Vega review disappeared from Newegg for some reason, and that's why if you visit link #2 you'll get a "product not found" or whatever the message is. We're updating said link in the review.
