As we go into the New Year...

Sun Dec 31, 2017 11:39 pm

I for am glad that I am able to say that I started my New Year's Resolution early a few months ago, which was to quit drinking soda and was able to keep it as I sail into next Year. Hopefully I can go 2018 without drinking a drop of it.

So what what are you guys planning to do in 2018? Any plans on eating Healthier?

Good work mate, I've been checking in on your soda thread a bit - glad to see you're still sticking to your guns.

I'm definitely aiming for a little less sugar and a little more exercise this year - get a couple more kilos off.

My actual 'resolution', though, is to finally assemble a 3D printer my father-in-law got via mail (one of those overpriced subscription 'bit-by-bit' things), make sure it works, and set it up for him in his office. He gave it to me, but I think there'd be more fun in it for him than for me!

I could stand to lose 10+ pounds. More exercise and less snacks/beer are goals for the coming year.

More exercise for me would help.

Lost 8Kg in 2016, 9 in 2017 and intend to lose ca 9 more in 2018. Taking it really slow, but I don't have the willpower to starve myself.

Lay off sugars and white bread, that will help you less weight.

Those are not minor amounts of weight, and the progression is steady - sounds like you're doing it exactly right. Good on you.

In addition to quit drinking soda, I also been better at saving money since I done the former and don't eat out at much as I used to. Hopefully I can save up enough to get stuff that I need and build a new computer in two or three years.
