My room is booked. I may have an extra bed in my room, depends on if my friend is coming or not.

EDIT: Maybe I'll throw up a tent. I have the room in case I change my mind.

Don't see any reason the date wouldn't work for me, so definitely hope to make it again this year!

Just checking, tent on the beach is still approved? I have a moderately large one, so if anyone has a sleeping bag/bedroll and wants the cover/dry, I can accommodate.

Camping on the beach is fine, provided there is beach to camp on. Get quality tent stakes!

Sweet. I have a nice big tent, just have to figure out how to mount it on the bike safely. Will update more as we close in. In the past I've used empty 2L bottles for sand stakes. Can just fill them with sand or water and bury them, use the spout side to tie off to.

And in the "small friggin world" category, I mentioned biking to MI in the /r/motorcycles Discord, and there was a Holland native in there. Say hi, GoatMoto!

Yes, as in, they should be deep enough to perform the Van Helsing maneuver with, assuming there's a strand of sand wide enough.

Looks like barring time off from work to travel to and from MI I should be good to make it!

I'm taking the scenic route and would like to stay on the lower half, West side about 3 hours north of the event. What's a good camp ground in that area? I'm coming from the Porcupine area in the UP that date, if that helps.

I will be there, quite possibly with my partner. Confirmed should be the right category, but nothing in my life is ever 100% certain, so list me as you think appropriate.

I have to downgrade to maybe. I burned some PTO unexpectedly about a month ago in the hospital, and I no longer have enough to cover all the things I need to do this summer. TRBBQ is dangerously close to getting the axe just based on the number of days off needed. I'm sorry, guys.

I should have final confirmation if I can make it next week. Go figure my boss was in a tizzy last week when I tried to talk to him. He's in Belgium this week! Things look good though. It would be me plus one. I have a friend that lives out there. Gonna drag her with me instead of just stealing her car

Finkka and at least a part of my crew will be showing up in all likelihood. Unfortunately, the whole family can't make it this year. If something happens and I can't make it, I will update my status here.

I also see Scott is still listed as "TR Staff" on the forums. Perhaps that should be amended to "TR Founding Father", "TR Staff Emeritus", or somesuch?
