Fun times with the weather, no? White out conditions up here. I hope the gerbils down south are doing ok. I saw reports of tornados down south.

We're OK in Chicago, other than being unseasonably cool and the warnings about 18 foot waves and flooding along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

I didn't think my car cover would actually come in useful until its 80+ out. Heh.

We've got 50+ MPH winds here in South Central KS, but not much else. Well, besides a 60+ degree delta in ~12 hours.

Nice blizzard going on here in northeastern WI. Really the only one this year here.

Very windy and a little rain here in southwestern Missouri. Tonight's low will be just below freezing. Nothing else out of the ordinary.

Lots of wind here in the OKC area. Doesn't help with the wildfires we've had the last few days. It was so smoky outside yesterday evening it looked like a thick fog.

I dread this time of year because of the tornadoes. Where I work is always on the leading edge of the storms. The pucker factor is always high.

Breezy and 47F in Peoria. Low of 27F isn't all that unusual. Pretty normal for early spring. I had no idea there was a "blizzard" coming in mid-April, but this is some goofy weather.

Philly and Central NJ had plenty of Nor'easters and snow this past season. Looks like it will just bring rain to our area since we up in the 80's today. Finally getting some Spring like weather.

Up here in VT we get the Midwest leftovers come Monday as rain and high winds.

The low pressure system is causing all kinds of chaos in the country. If you look at the weather map it's pretty amazing to see that the majority of the country is being engulfed by one system. Flooding and severe weather in the South scares me more than the pile of snow up here.

We're getting lots of snow in Minnesota, but that's not exactly a rare phenomenon. Usually we don't get the snow and the wind at the same time though.

Yeah, blizzards don't happen all that frequently. What's really crazy is the normal high is supposed to be almost 60 when this blizzard rolled through. Regardless of the timing, wow, that was still a lot, top 20 weather systems of all time said one off the weather people. I'm doing some napkin math and I think a snow blower is cheaper than the tons of chiropractor visits I'm going to need after shoveling myself out destroyed my back.

Yeah the weather sequencing here in Wisconsin gave me a chuckle. Mixed rain and sunshine, near 60 Wednesday and Thursday. Friday more rain, temperature starts plummeting and wind picks up like crazy. Yesterday during the day it was mostly wind and ice. Now we've got about 2 inches of snow and still more is falling. My car right now is a layered cake of car->ice->snow.

Yeah I've got some friends in the Twin Cities and they fared much worse than us. Y'all got a proper blizzard

Down near Roch we didn't really get much. It was a bit awkward but nothing like I'm hearing for SW and up there.

I've been watching the radar obsessively the last few days - Madison was really fortunate to be just south of the bulk of what both of you are in. We're in a temporary reprieve but about to get socked by the next part of the system in two hours or so. I know some folks who were up in the North Woods this weekend, I bet they are having blast!

I'm far enough south that there's no blizzard but we are getting (non-accumulating) snow today and the high is a miserable 38 when the normal high is supposed to be in the mid-60s.

Got ice last night. Took several pitchers of hot water this AM just to get the car doors open and the windshield clear.

Had an inch or so on my car. Driving into work took almost double the time due to certain roads low on salt.

The storm extended up into the Great White North. It hit Ontario hard. Toronto suffered from freezing rain that caused havoc with our power grid. Today the rain is being contained by slush/snow so flooding is now a concern.

I was driving around in my 1LE on Friday. Today it is my GLI equipped with winter tires.

I am back in KS where the forecast for today is 65, sunny, and a light breeze. Thank you spring (finally).

Up here in Green Bay we saw 65mph winds and about 2 feet of snow with drifts in places as high as 8 feet. Multiple buildings with collapsed roofs and several roads in the valley are flooded from the Fox River which had already seen its ice thaw earlier in the week. I spent much of yesterday on a 15' ladder trying to knock 3' snow drifts off of my roof while staring into 45mph winds. also had to clear the 5' high X 3' deep drift off the side of my house to clear out the furnace vents. The 1/4" of ice we got before the snow came didn't make the task any easier. Friday night we had about 3 hours of rain/hail/sleet and thunder before it turned to snow.

Wow, Anovoca. I was looking at an IT job in Merrill, Wisconsin a while back. Then I saw it was even farther north than Green Bay.

I don't think I can take those winters.

Just FYI, this broke a local record that had stood since 1889. I have never seen a winter storm like it.

Some video I took. Unfortunetly this is after knocking down the drifts. I was more concerned with my roof collapsing than cataloging ilthe storm with video.

It was the kind of weather you see in the UP of MI. Not so much WI.

I'm pushing minivans thru unplowed parking lots. Ugh. The snow is too heavy for the standard pickup truck plow so they are way behind on clearing many businesses. Some businesses still closed today.
