Persistence of Vision

Mon Jul 16, 2018 8:00 pm

My company lets me do the occasional weird thing. You may remember the Magic Mirror I built for the lobby.

Well, they let me muck around with some persistence of vision (POV) displays. We use 'em in trade shows to get people to stop by the booth. Results have been very positive, but people keep thinking that the displays are what we sell.

Anyhow, they look pretty cool. In person you don't see the propeller effect that you see in the video.

If there is one thing a remote-controlled, silent and unseeable surveillance/killing machine needs, it’s more whimsy. -- Marcus
