The Mother of All Demos 1968

Mon Dec 10, 2018 1:21 pm

The demo in the video in this link is worth watching. I'm only about 1/3 through it. Fascinating that this was happening in 1968. I had just finished 6th grade. I did not get my first PC untill 1984, a Compaq DeskPro 8086.

A half century ago, computer history took a giant leap when Douglas Engelbart—then a mid-career 43-year-old engineer at Stanford Research Institute in the heart of Silicon Valley—gave what has come to be known as the "mother of all demos."
