yeah still bad today too.

Bit slow in loading but at least the page is loading. I don't have to stare at "Waiting for techreport.com" in the status bar.

Seems pretty okay for me.

edit: aside from making a post, at least.

It's come and gone. It will be laggy for an hour, then its fine for several after, like nothing happened. Then out of the blue it happens again. No idea what or why.

No, I don't think I will. For a couple of reasons.

First, I know what it's like to see something that you've poured your heart and soul into, but are no longer involved with, degenerate over the course of time. It's not pleasant, nor is reflecting on it. I found peace knowing that regardless of the current state of things, no one can ever take away the work that I (we) did during our time. You kind of separate yourself from the current state of things; because it's no longer yours...in a sense, it's a foreign entity now. I can guess that Scott and team feel something similar. Maybe not.

Second, Scott is a busy man with a successful career and a family, and all the other things that go along with that. I'll not bother him with this. Additionally, I certainly wouldn't ask him for his "private" thoughts on things, nor would I expect him to give them. Private thoughts have a way of becoming public once vocalized, and generating unnecessary drama that makes the first sentence in this paragraph more difficult. I think if Scott had something he wanted to say, and felt it was the right time to say it, he'd have done so.

That being said, if the time comes where the Damages feel the need or desire to comment publicly on things, I'll gladly read it. Until then, I respect their privacy on the matter.

I feel like they should bring back the non-responsive site. This new thing isn't doing them any favors... It looks awful on every platform, messed up content over a year old. It's just so unfinished.

Not gonna happen. The old site ran on a bespoke CMS, and the author/maintainer of said CMS has apparently left the building. That said, there are probably some things which could be done to improve the current Wordpress-based site. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Or we could just hire some Russian "IT" people( ) to give the site a redesign. If what we see is as bad as it is, who knows how much of a mess the site's security could be. In fact, I'm surprised no one has defaced it yet!

It's probably no worse than average for a site running Wordpress and phpBB. (Which is admittedly not a high bar...)
