So how do you account for the switch from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar that happened back in 1582? By decree of Pope Gregory XIII, the 5th of October through the 14th of October simply did not exist that year (the calendar skipped directly from the 4th to the 15th).
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Interesting read: https://worldview.stratfor.com/article/ ... n-calendar

Julian calendar had to be replaced due to its inaccuracy. I am not an expert on calendar science but it would be weird if changing to a different calendar were to change our fate and future of the world. I think the numbers would still maintain their respective significance.

From http://www.spiritsinstone.com/julian_gr ... endar.html,

Calendar can be perceived as merely mathematical concept, but in fact it is connected to processes occurring in the universe. And here is where calendar-driven numerology can explain interconnections of any person to the cosmic time pulsation.

So the numbers somehow just "know" that the calendar has changed, and adjust their behavior accordingly?

It's not the numbers that do it. It's the cosmos that is linked with these numbers. No matter what calendar we adopt, the cosmos will exert its influence regardless.

Ahh, so now you're saying that the cosmos is inherently base 10? Next you'll be claiming that each letter of the alphabet has special magical properties, and that the letter 'H' is is the most magical of them all since it is the 8th letter...

I can only attest to what I have observed personally. I don't recall reading or noticing anything special about the letter 'H'. But since you mention it, "Holy", "Hot", "Hell", Heaven", "Hummus", "Hanukkah", "Hard", "High", "Hallelujah", "Hubba Hubba" and last but not the least, "Hitler"! Yep, seems special to me :P

Maybe. Maybe not. What I meant was, the cosmos affects us all through numbers, whatever the base. I'm sure there are patterns in other bases but since i don't think in those bases, I wouldn't know.

Notice August 8?

The killers were actually after the record producer Terry Melcher who was born on February 8. Sharon's death was a direct result of that bastard renting the house before her. Now ain't that a disaster?

Years fall into Chinese Animal sign territory. Those are for the mentioned years, in order, Ox, Dog, Goat, Dragon, Ox, Dog and Goat. All of these tend to be hard working people. The 8 I am referring to is the day of the month, specifically the 8th, the 17th and the 26th.

Means nothing. If I governed my own country, I could reverse the days of the month and use base-5 to represent them. What would you do?

Speaking of which, what do you do with base-2? Your computer has a crapload of "8" in it. Watch out, it's going to explode or give you cancer.

I don't have to do anything because I am not in charge of this Universe. God is always ahead of man.

The base 10 number system was created by man.

How about the portmanteau word, "jackhole", or is that shifting the meaning too far away from "gullible" or "immature"?

Whose idea was it to give us 10 fingers/thumbs? You know. And created the whole Universe to keep our teensy weensy brains busy. So come on, y'all. Let's just agree that 8 is BAD and post incidents that happened on such dates to reinforce the theory. If this were Zion, there would be a discussion going on in the Council to dedicate SHIPS to this cause!
