TR Forums

For about 12 years or so I had TR as my browser home page and last year I replaced it with just a blank Google page.
Today I deleted TR from my favorites and I'm likely to seldom return. Just wanted to say goodbye and thanks for all the help I received here over the years.
I learned a lot here and hate the way things turned out. It was a great run.

It's really unclear what's going on with the main site, but the forums still show some minimalistic life. Sort of.

My Avatar has been recently removed. THIS avatar was created BEFORE this forum existed 20 years ago. Contrary to what people believe this forum was the second one created.
I worked with Scott.
I did reports with Scott.
I was one of their tech reporters during the beginning of golden age of PC builds.
I am part of that history of TR
I was Damage's Dog Soldier.
And I believe I am one of the oldest, if not oldest forum user here.

I am requesting to have my Avatar back
This was the only reminder of the good things that did happen here in TR.

Um, I've never seen an avatar here. That said, no one with the requiste system access (current ownership) remotely cares one whit. Apologies, but not happening.

We've never had avatars. I don't know what this guy is ranting about. >.>

I do remember avatars were briefly a thing back when this site was new and I'd followed onto this site from Ars. I was lurking at the time.

If so and it was THAT important you'd think s/he'd would have saved it elsewhere and not hopping some Rando website stays as it is. Thats like people complaining about their gifs on Geocities. BWAHAHAHA

Honestly, by the time I'd got here Kevin had extinguished all avatars.

Seems to me Ned, then that's when the avatar went bye bye. And they just so happened to login now and notice it was gone? That's a large time span

Habit, definitely. I am disinclined to change. Look at our school...ugh. It saddens me to think that the place that formed us is no more.

Absolutely. It pains me to visit the old stomping grounds. But at least it still exists somewhat.
